1 ENROLMENT GUIDE Prep schools BACHELORS MASTERS Onsite initial training Phone : (+226) Fax : (+226) [email protected] I/ THE DIFFERENT ENROLMENT STEPS 2iE proposes 3 enrolment modalities: online, onsite per post. Online Enrolment Quick and with the possibility to follow-up your application form online, the online procedure is to be preferred. It takes place in 5 steps. 1 st step: From now on: online pre-enrolment on 2iE website: by filling in the enrolment form referring to the training program chosen.. Warning: all candidates must have an active electronic address ( ) in order to receive enrolment confirmations and diverse information that refer to them. 2 nd step: Each candidate who has dully filled in the enrolment form will receive per- an application form number with a password. He/she will have to enter his/her settings to connect to the enrolment platform in order to access the information regarding his/her application and update his/her dossier. 3 rd step: The candidate must ensure that his/her application for the chosen training program, at the latest one month before the training starts. In case of difficulties to provide the elements that make up the dossier, the candidate will be able to, based on a signed statement on oath, to complete his/her dossier upon arrival (see part 9, annex). 4 th step: The eligible candidate will receive an eligibility certificate within 15 days after the reception of his/her complete dossier. As soon as the candidates receive the eligibility certificate, he/she must absolutely confirm his/her enrolment by paying the tuition fees, at the latest eight (8) days before the school term start. The tuition fees amount to F CFA NOT REFUNDABLE for the Bachelor cycle and F CFA for the Master cycle.

2 5 th step: The candidate who has paid the tuition fees will only be definitely enrolled once the tuition fees and the insurance and exam fees (C2i, for Bachelor degree 1 st year / TOEFEL, for the Master 1 st year) are paid, according to the schedule of financial payment proposed and for the 1 st installment, at the latest, eight (8) days before the start of the concerned school term. Onsite enrolment It is targeted at candidates who haven t got an easy access to internet or no connection. 1 st step: Constitute your application dossier.(see p. 2, II). 2 nd step: Ensure that your application dossier is dully filed in and includes all the relevant parts which make up the dossier for the chosen training program. (see p. 2, II). In case of difficulties to provide the elements that make up the dossier, the candidate will be able to, based on a signed statement on oath, to complete his/her dossier upon arrival (see part 9, annex). 3 rd step: Go with all the items that make up your dossier onsite, to the 2iE s Candidates Welcome service, located on the Ouagadougou campus, Rue de la Science, Burkina Faso, or in one of the country office: Abidjan (Côte d Ivoire); Bamako (Mali); Yaoundé (Cameroon). See section 3, p. 5 addresses and contact. Opening hours : from Monday to Friday, from 7h00 till12h00 then from 15h till 18h00. 4 th and 5th steps: In case of admission, the candidate must refer to steps 4 and 5 described p.1. 3 3 rd step: Send all the items that make up your application dossier per post to the following address: 2iE - Rue de la Science 01 BP 594 Ouagadougou 01 Burkina Faso. The candidate must then choose the option «with acknowledgement of receipt» or ensure that his/her dossier has been received by contacting the service in charge (see contact section) within a fortnight. Make up the dossier for the chosen training course. 4 th and 5 th steps: In case of admission, the candidate will have to refer to steps 4 and 5 described p.1. II/ THE COMPOSITION OF THE APPLICATION DOSSIERS Bachelor Cycle, entry in 1 st year Required level: Scientific or technical A-level, GCE, Documents required: 1 application form to fill in online 1 birth certificate For baccalaureate holders: Certified true copies of transcripts from the last year of high school or Terminale: Certified true copies of the obtained degree (Scientific or technical A-level or GCE or equivalent degree), Certified true copies of transcripts obtained for the A-level or GCE, Certified true copies of annual transcripts of the first class in the upper level of secondary education. Certified true copies of annual transcripts of the second class in the upper level of secondary education. Certified true copies of annual transcripts of the last year (terminale) in the upper level of secondary education For pupils in the last year in the upper level of secondary education: important enroll before the A-level exam session to secure a space in case of success. Warning: For students in Terminale, admission can only be definitive after the A-level is passed. The number of available seats is 250 for the September school term start,, 250 for the January school term start and 250 for May. 3

For candidates who hold a State grant A funding certificate from the State, which covers the tuition fees, insurance and exam services (C2i / TOEFEL). Please note that certificates, coming from States, which haven t paid the whole tuition fees and insurance of their own nationals for the previous years, won t be taken into account. Therefore registration for these candidates will be rejected. For a candidate who holds a grant from a technical or financial partner or a company A funding certificate signed by the entity empowered that guaranties that tuitions fees are covered (scholarship, insurance, diverse services). IV/ COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATIONS 1 Accommodation 2iE disposes of 1000 rooms spread on the OUAGADOUGOU and KAMBOINSE campuses and a secured house of residence outside the campus. The allocation of these rooms is ensured by a private company (IMODEV), which manages them. These rooms are furnished and benefit form a daily cleaning service. They offer all amenities, water, electricity and internet access, available for the whole student community. 2iE s campuses are diplomatic enclaves, highly secured from the physical point of view (access control, continuous surveillance) and from the material point of view (parking for means of transport). For students in training process, the access to the rooms is conditioned by the payment of the annual fee and the presentation of the annual discharge for the previous year. The granting of a room will only be definitive once all conditions are fully met. 9

10 2 Annual rental Fee TYPE OF ROOM COST IN F CFA COSTT IN EUROS ( ) Single room with shower FCFA 793 Single room with shower outside FCFA 640 Double room FCFA Deposit The renting of the room is subject to the payment of a refundable deposit amounting to F CFA and is regulated by an accommodation code. 4 Catering 2iE s OUAGADOUGOU and KAMBOINSE campuses are equipped with university restaurants where students can take their meals.. These restaurants re managed by a private company, which sets menus and rates. Payment of these meals is made directly by the student to the company. Ces restaurants sont gérés par une société privée qui détermine les menus et tarifs. Le règlement de ces repas se fera directement par l étudiant à la société. For reference, the average monthly cost varies between and FCFA (which does not in any way involves 2iE). 5 Health Insurance and Civil Responsibility It is compulsory for students when they enroll to provide certificates for health insurance and civil responsibility. If the student has no health insurance, he/she can subscribe individually to 2iE s collective insurance agreement The necessary steps will be taken within 2iE to ease the membership procedures upon the arrival of students. The annual fee is FCFA to be fully paid by the enrolment. NB: This subscription is compulsory and determines the final registration of the student. 6 Associative Life All the students are members of 2iE students Association. As such, a compulsory fee of F is required by the first enrollment for the whole student training pathway at 2iE. 7 Bank Accounts Grant-holder students will have to open up a bank account in Ouagadougou. A partnership between 2iE and the BANK OF AFRICA (BOA) has been signed and allows the students to open up a bank account without any fee and a reduction of the account fees. However agios will be in charge of students. The amount of grants, whose management has been assigned to 2iE will be paid by bank transfer every 6 months on the account opened by the student. This half-yearly payment can only be made once 2iE has received the funds. There will be no advance payment granted by 2iE. 10

11 8 Health Vaccinations Visa Students, during the enrolment process will have to present a vaccination certificate justifying vaccination against yellow fever and meningitis in particular. All travel expenses and Visa are covered by students. Upon arrival, students must visit on their own 2iE s headquarters (Rue de la Science, North side of the Ouagadougou University). They must introduce themselves to the Head of Training and Educational Innovation Office (Direction des Formations et des Innovations Pédagogiques -DFIP) in order to fill in the registration procedures and receive their student card. NB:anyhow, the registration procedures must be carefully completed and this one week before the start of the training courses. 9 Enrolment and Teaching Units When a learner enrolls for one of our courses, it means he/she has enrolled for all teaching unites/subjects for the whole academic year. 11
