This notice is also available on the official website of the Assam Rifles 3. Centres for Examination. Candidate seeking reservation benefits as Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the tice. They should be in possession of the certificates in the format prescribed by Government of India in support of their claim at the time of reporting for Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test. 5. 2 2 8. Applications will be accepted by post only. 9. MOBILES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC GADGETS ARE BANNED WITHIN THE PREMISES OF RALLY SITES/TEST CENTRE. 10. Qualitative Requirement and Age Criteria. The Qualitative Requirement (QR) for enrolment into aforesaid trades other than compassionate appointment is attached as Appendix B. 11. Cut off Date and Age Relaxation. 1 st Aug 2015 will be the cut off date for all candidates for determining above mentioned age criteria. Upper age limit is relaxable by 03 years to Other Backward Classes and 05 years to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Candidates excluding age limit for compassionate appointment. 12. Calculation of Upper Age Limit for Ex-servicemen. Upper age limit for Ex-servicemen is as under:- S/ Category Age-Relaxation permissible beyond the Upper age limit (a) Ex-Servicemen (Unreserved /General) 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning. (c) Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST) 08 years (3 years + 5 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning. 13. (c) Physical Efficiency Test will be held for Ex-servicemen. However, Ex-servicemen will be required to pass the requisite Medical Examination. 16. Compassionate Appointment. Only Nexts of Kins (NsOK)/dependents of ASSAM RIFLES personnel who DIED WHILE IN SERVICE OR DISCHARGED FROM SERVICE ON MEDICAL GROUNDS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR COMPASSIONATE APPOINTMENT. Compassionate Appointment is applicable to only ONE dependent family member. Appointment on compassionate grounds can be made only against Group C posts i.e candidates under compassionate grounds cannot apply for Hindi Translator Grade II, Religious Teacher JCO, Staff Nurse, Barrack & Road JCO posts. 17. Written Test. The written test will comprise of paper of 100 marks. Cut off percentage of marks for appointment is as under:- (a) General/Ex-servicemen - 35% (b) SC/ST/OBC - 33% 18. Pay Scale. Pay scale and other allowances will be as admissible to Assam Rifles Personnel. 19. Merit List and Call for Training. The candidates who qualify in all respects i.e Physical Standard Test/Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and Medical Examination Test will be placed in merit list depending upon the category wise vacancies allocated to states. Instruction to join the Training Centre for enrolment will be issued on the basis of Merit List. Please note that merely qualifying in all tests does not confirm that candidate will be appointed....4/-

4 4 20. How to Apply. Candidates shall submit their applications as per format attached at Appendix C to the address mentioned below. Fee. Rupees fifty only ( Rs 50/-) payable through SBI Challan through Power Jyoti Account, at SBI, Laitkor Branch, Shillong, Code Fee paid by SBI Challan will be submitted alongwith the application. Fee paid by modes other than SBI challan will not be accepted and the application of such candidates will be rejected forthright and the payment made shall stand forfeited. Fee will be charged from the candidates belonging to General and OBC category.
