1 ACCOUNTING CLASSES Accounting Specialist I, II Accounting Technician I, II, III, IV, V NOTES: 1. Advanced level Acct. Tech. experience is Acct. Tech. IV and V (experience at the Acct. Tech. 2 ACCOUNTING CLASSES TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Accounting Specialist I Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in accounting, business administration, or other curriculum that would provide a core curriculum in financial management coursework; or a two-year degree in accounting from a business school or community college and two years of accounting or auditing experience; or graduation from high school and six years of experience as an accounting technician, three of which must have been at the advanced level. Work-against: Accounting Technician I, II, III, IV Accounting Specialist II Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in accounting, business administration or other curriculum that would provide a core curriculum in financial management coursework and one year of accounting experience; or a two-year degree in accounting from a business school or community college and three years of accounting or auditing experience; or graduation from high school and six years of experience as an accounting technician, three of which must have been at an advanced level. Controller, Auditor experience acceptable ADMINISTRATIVE CLASSES TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Administrative Assistant I Completion of high school or equivalent and four years of progressively responsible secretarial or clerical/administrative/office management experience; or completion of a two-year secretarial science or business administration program and two years of progressively responsible secretarial or clerical/administrative/office management experience; or completion of a four-year program in a college or university preferable with major emphasis on coursework in business administration, public administration or other related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Operator Graduation from high school and one year of computer operations experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Computer Support Technician I Graduation from high school and three years of experience in the use of computing and information technology resources; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. (specific knowledge of the particular software or systems supported may be required.) Computer Support Technician II Graduation from high school and four years of experience in the use of computing and information technology resources; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. (specific knowledge of the particular software or systems supported may be required.) Work-against: Computer Support Technician I Computer Systems Administrator I Graduation from high school and two years of experience in the administration of a computer system similar to the one to be supported; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Course work can be counted from business schools, community colleges or two-year and four-year colleges in any field by cosmetology/beautician. 3.
