1 How To Find-My-Nearest Find My Nearest can be accessed from the Hackney website home page at the top right-hand corner or from the following website Once you are on the website and want to find the nearest 20 Planning Applications to a website follow these processes; 1

2 i. Select a Category to search from the dropdown list and in this case either Current Applications or Historic Application; ii. Once selected, enter an address into the Search textbox; 2

3 iii. Once the address has been entered, click the go button to perform the search; iv. Sometimes if there are multiple properties displayed for an address search, the popup below will come up for you to select the property of interest; 3

5 v. Once the preferred property is selected, the search is completed and the results displayed as a list on the left hand pane of FMN and on the Map as well. vi. Click on a point on the map or the hyperlinked lists on the left hand to display the corresponding attributes of an application; 5

6 vii. On the bubble with the application details, click on either Click Here for Applications Details to show further details in Planning Explorer or Click View Detailed Map of This Property to show the application property outline in Map.Hackney2.0. 6

7 How To Map.Hackney2.0 Map.Hackney2.0 offers advanced detailed mapping information and further GIS capabilities such as measurements, switching on/off layers, drawing on the map etc and can be accessed with the following link; Once you are on the site, follow the processes outlined below to assess Planning Applications; i. Expand the Environment and Planning theme by clicking on the plus sign to display the sub themes under environment and planning; 7

8 ii. Click on the plus sign corresponding to Planning Applications to show Current and Historic Applications layers; 8

9 iii. Check one or both checkboxes for the applications to display them on the map; iv. You can zoom in to specific application by selecting the Zoom Box and drawing a rectangle on an area of interest or around a planning application to show the details for the outlined property. Clicking on the property outlines pops up a bubble with the application details and a link (Click Here For Application Details) to Planning Explorer for further application details. 9

10 v. Other layers of information can be added to the map to build relationship with planning applications by expanding the plus sign of a theme of interest and checking their corresponding check boxes to display them on the map. 10

12 vi. Note: Planning Applications with deep hatched fills indicate that there are multiple planning applications associated with the property. 12
