5 Dawn Marie Jacobson, MD, MPH Director of Strategy and Impact Public Health Institute formerly the Director of Performance Improvement Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Dawn Marie Jacobson, MD, MPH, is a board-certified preventive medicine physician with 10 years of experience in public health practice and management. She is currently the Director of Strategy and Impact for the Public Health Institute where her work focuses on data integration for public health decision-making and improving community health outcomes. From , Dr. Jacobson was the Director of Performance Improvement for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. In this position, she utilized matrix management approaches to run an agency-wide quality improvement learning collaborative, prepared for PHAB accreditation, created a suite of tools for managing a performance measurement and reporting system, proposed customized functional requirements for an agency-wide dashboard, and designed training modules tailored to various staffing levels.
