4 Resources It is required that every course venue has the following Practical/Theory rooms that can accommodate the number of candidates on the course Access to sufficient hot and cold water, and waste facilities in accordance with your local health authority Adequate toilet/changing facilities Does your school or college comply with all the above? yes/no If not, what is your action plan? 5 Health and Safety rules and regulations It is expected that you comply with all relevant Health and Safety rules and regulations of your local council and professional ethics in accordance with BABTAC s code of practice. Courses available for Accreditation Below are the courses are available for Accreditation and the prerequisites required. If the course you would like accredited is not on this list please contact Sue Trevaskis [email protected]. Please specify all methods taught which should be supported with case studies covering all areas. School certificates should reflect the methods taught during training. All courses should be at a NVQ level 2 standard for submission or higher by subject Tutor. Subject Tutors should hold all subject certificates that they would like to teach and have accreditation for, and also hold current prerequisites certificates to submit higher courses. 6 Application checklist To ensure we can process your application efficiently, please submit all of the documentation and evidence required and list below within three weeks of application. After this you re your application and supporting documents will be returned to you, we would not be in a position to offer a refund. Copy of all Tutors teaching training qualifications, minimum requirement being City & Guilds 7303 or equivalent. 7 Terms and conditions All enquiries regarding the progress of your accreditation should be directed to Sue Trevaskis - [email protected]. In order to be eligible for Accreditation, you must be a current BABTAC Member and continue to be whilst your course is Accredited. It is also a requirement to be teacher trained or working towards your teaching qualification (City & Guilds or PTTL). On acceptance, it is a condition of BABTAC that we reserve the right to carry out spot check. The decision of BABTAC Council to refuse approval is final. If information on this form proves to be inaccurate BABTAC Short Course Accreditation will be withdrawn and students will not be assured of BABTAC s group insurance. Turnaround times on Accreditation cannot be confirmed, however we will endeavour to complete Accreditation as soon as possible. Please note that not producing the correct documentation may delay processing of your application. BABTAC have the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.
