The boat Fiordland Jewel was built in 2015 specifically for the Fiordland region. With nine luxury ensuite cabins, the Fiordland Jewel offers the most infmate, luxurious overnight experience in Fiordland. Dinner, breakfast and a pre-dinner drink included in all trips. A maximum of 20. Fiordland Discovery is the only company in New Zealand if not the world where people can view Black Coral and other underwater species via a state of the art remote operated vehicle HD camera. 4 Fiordland Jewel AcDviDes Once on board Fiordland Jewel you have the opfon of relaxing and enjoying the stunning scenery in infmate and well-appointed surroundings or indulging in a likle adventure. We have a wide range of acfvifes available and our experienced and knowledgeable crew are passionate in wanfng your stay in Fiordland to be the best one could possibly have. Explore underwater - our state-of-the-art ROV is an unmanned, remote-controlled submarine drone with an HD camera, so you can view the amazing marine environment from the comfort of our vessel s lounge. An incredible variety of sea and fish life exists in Fiordland, including rare black coral, which usually grows at a depth inaccessible to humans, but is visible due to the deep layer of freshwater on the surface of the fiords, sea urchins, crayfish, shark, blue cod and dolphins. On a recent charter with our previous vessel, using similar equipment, scienfsts discovered new species within the fiords, illustrafng how excifng and ground-breaking this new venture is. This technology is unique to Fiordland Discovery Ltd., offering guests and extraordinary and exclusive opportunity to experience underwater scenery literally like nowhere else on earth. 4

5 Explore by kayak - once we ve anchored for the night, you will have the chance to use one of our kayaks to explore the nearby coastline a fantasfc way to end the day and enjoy the peace of this magical place. Wildlife viewing Milford Sound is home to a stunning array of wildlife. Fiordland Crested Penguins, seals, dolphins and albatross all inhabit the sounds, with thrilling opportunifes for our visitors to see these creatures in their natural environment. Orca, humpback, Southern Right and pilot whales also visit the waters of Fiordland throughout the year, giving the rare, but privileged chance to view them from the deck of Fiordland Jewel. Boat tender trips - Fiordland Jewel is equipped with a small boat or tender that can take you closer to the shore to see wildlife and waterfalls, experiencing the beauty and sheer size of Milford Sound in an even more personal and infmate way. Fishing - Milford Sound itself is a marine reserve, so we are unable to fish there, but the mouth of the fiord and the Tasman Sea are renowned fishing spots. Here you ll have the chance to do some fishing and we may also have the opportunity to lim cray pots (lobster traps) if condifons allow. Rob was a commercial fisherman for years before focusing on tourism, wanfng to share his love of the area with visitors from New Zealand and around the world, and has unparalleled knowledge of the Fiordland coast and Milford area. Again, this is part of what sets us apart from the other operators in terms of offering an experience above and beyond the ordinary. Transport OpDons By Car - The drive into Milford Sound is a spectacular alpine road. Allow at least two hours from Te Anau and five hours from Queenstown. Take your Fme and avoid the crowds by travelling off peak to our overnight cruise. Free parking is available at Milford Sound. Coach ex Queenstown - Coach connecfons are available from Queenstown. Helicopter Fiordland Jewel features an onboard helipad, perfect for private charter or luxury groups. Small Plane Regular scheduled helicopter and small planes fly to Milford Sound airport from Queenstown and Glenorchy. 5

6 Milford Sound Boat Cruise Map This is the approximate route of the Milford Sound cruise. The exact route will depend on weather condifons at the Fme. In rough condifons the Tasman Sea route is likely to be curtailed. What to bring: All linen and towels provided. All boat spaces are fully air condifoned or heated. Cabins have individual air condifoning or heafng units. 9 Cabin DescripDons The whole vessel has air condidoning and headng and each individual cabin is fully equipped with its own headng control, linen and ensuite bathrooms. Captain Cook Cabins (4 available) - Private cabins on the main deck with a window view. King size bed Ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower. Max capacity: two people. One night stay $1430 per cabin. Endeavour Cabins (2 available) - Private cabins which sleep up to four people with private ensuite bathroom and window. The cabins can be set up as twin or quad share. Two single beds. An addifonal two beds can be pulled down from the wall which sit above the normal single beds. Each cabin has an: o o Ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower. Max capacity: 4 people One night stay $1430 per cabin, up to 2 people. One night stay $1715 per cabin, 3 people. One night stay $2000 per cabin, 4 people. ResoluDon Cabins (shared accommodadon 2 available) - Quad share cabins which sleep up to four people on the main deck with a window view. Two bunk beds Ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower. Max capacity: 4 people Beds may be booked individually (or you can book the whole cabin by contacfng us). Dinner and breakfast provided. One night stay $499 per person. Governor s Cabin - The Governor s Cabin is at the top of the boat all by itself with its own full width forward window and large side windows. See Sun Deck layout below. King size bed Ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. Day bed couch. Max capacity: 2 people. One night stay per Cabin $2490. 11 Milford Sound Day Cruises For clients who wish to take a helicopter to and from the Fiordland Jewel in Milford Sound. Fiordland Discovery only offers Milford Sound Day Cruises when accessed by helicopter i.e. a helicopter lands on the Fiordland Jewel s helipad. It cannot pick up or drop off passengers at the Milford Sound Boat Terminal for day cruises. There are two types of day cruises 1) Exclusive cruises 2) Non Exclusive cruises. Exclusive Day Cruises Product: Fiordland Discovery Milford Sound Day Cruise (Exclusive) Season: 1 February March 2016; 1 July 31 August 2016; 1 Nov April 2017 Times: Helicopter lands no earlier than 10am, departs no later than 2.30pm. Price: $10,000 boat charter (NZ$, nek rates, and exclusive of GST) DescripFon: Travel by helicopter to Milford Sound and land on the Fiordland Jewel s helipad. The boat is exclusively available to the client and their party of up to 50 pax (note they can only board by helicopter, not from Milford Sound Boat Terminal). The boat will cruise Milford Sound from 10am unfl 2.30pm or for a shorter Fme in between depending on instrucfons. All normal acfvifes (see Milford Sound Overnight Cruises secfon above) including kayaking and the ROV are possible (weather permirng) and included in the price. Lunch is also included in the price. Note: Does not include helicopter fees. Would probably be part of an ifnerary that included helicopter scenic flights and landings in the Fiordland NaFonal Park. Please discuss with your preferred helicopter company. Non Exclusive Day Cruises Product: Fiordland Discovery Milford Sound Day Cruise (Non-Exclusive) Season: 1 February March 2016; 1 July 31 August 2016; 1 Nov April 2017 Times: Helicopter lands no earlier than 10am, departs no later than 2.30pm. Price: $1000 per person (NZ$, gross rates, and inclusive of GST) DescripFon: Travel by helicopter to Milford Sound and land on the Fiordland Jewel s helipad. Clients may need to share with other parfes and have accept they have less input on cruise and acfvifes. The boat will cruise Milford Sound from noon unfl 2.30pm or for a shorter Fme in between depending on instrucfons. Custom quote DescripFon: Fiordland boasts some of the most spectacular fishing, hunfng and diving in New Zealand. Fiordland Jewel offers six-day, five-night private fishing, hunfng and diving charters in the fiords and the Tasman Sea. We start in Doubuul Sound and travel down the coast to Dusky Sound, where, at the end of your charter, a helicopter will take you back to Te Anau. We can also do the reverse i.e. fly from Te Anau to Dusky Sound, and travel up the coast to Doubuul Sound. See for more informafon and availability. Refund/CancellaDon Policy In the event of a cancellafon or amendment to your booking, refunds will only be granted when Fiordland Discovery receives nofficafon in wrifng at least 72 hours prior to departure. ReservaFons may be amended to another date or Fme subject to space and availability. No charge is made for this amendment but any difference in price will need to be paid by the passenger. Please always quote the booking confirmafon number when amending a booking. Payment Fiordland Discovery will invoice amer arrival with payment due on the 20th of following month.
