For two decades, HSM achieved its mission through its Forums on Leadership, Marketing and Innovation, dedicated to deepening knowledge within specific topic areas; Gestión Magazine (now WOBI), a publication with more than 16 years of history and recognized as Iberoamerica s leading management magazine; ManagemenTV (now WOBI), the world s first television channel dedicated exclusively to business, and HSM Solutions, tailored learning programs, designed to provide creative solutions to companies' specific learning and development needs. HSM created the flagship events World Business Forum and ExpoManagement, annual gatherings of more than 5,000 executives that seek to listen, debate, and share with global leaders, business icons and thought leaders, the latest ideas, trends, and practices that are shaping the future of business. Today, HSM works with partners like La Nación Group and Laureate International Universities. Globant has responded to HSM Group Management Focus Europe Global SL ( HSM ) for the development of the Development of WBF (World Business Forum) website project.

2 The Challenge HSM needed an innovative way to help and inspire people to implement business ideas in a multicountry environment; to make its content available to the world, reach new audiences, and engage them in active participation. They needed: An interactive, user friendly and social media connected website for WBF. The website had to serve a variety of content, with focus on search, filtering and the ability to easily find relevant content. Content such as videos featuring the world s top thought leaders, documentaries, articles, special reports, had to be organized in broad themes that reflect today s business agenda. The website had to have the ability to enable users to register and sign-in for the related services. For instance, user had to interact with the website through comments and performing ratings. An e-commerce service for acquiring tickets, for making seat reservations or purchasing a Platinum pass for an event, was also needed. Navigation Appeal Content had to be distributed in different sections, such as About Us, Your Challenge, Community, Blog, Store, Sign-in, Register, Events, Speakers, Television and Magazine. A language platform of 3 different languages including English, Spanish and Italian had to be supported. In addition integration with Facebook, Linkedin and twitter needed to be modernized, as well as SEO optimization and implementation of basic tools analytics and reporting. The administration model needed to be developed to be utilized by the HSM administration team. Globant s Approach Aligned with Globant s Agile Methodology, a high level of visibility was provided to the project by dividing it into phases called iterations. At the end of each iteration, HSM received deliverables, as well as metrics on the progress made during the iteration. For achieving the project timeframe, Globant set up an interdisciplinary team that worked in Offshore Globant Development Centers, located in Latin America for a period of 6 months. The Project planning included the following tasks developed by Globant team: System Architecture definition in order to meet HSM s requirements. Development of the user stories defined in analysis stage.

3 Solution development including Unit Testing. QC/Testing tasks execution. UAT environment deployment. System architecture Implementation to meet HSM s requirements. Solution deployment in production environment. Globant's successful approach to the challenge lay in a phase by phase well defined project, in which all the phases occurred one after the other with an excellent management of time and resources deployed. While the website was developed using the best technology in modern design, special interesting features were introduced, such as the ability to be more user oriented, through interactive functionality and the possibility of permanent content change. One of the most key features was the introduction of well organized 8 broad themes that make for today s business selection: LEADERSHIP, STRATEGY, INNOVATION, SUSTAINABILITY, PEOPLE, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, MARKETING and GLOBAL TRENDS. From a more technical perspective, online payment for any country was introduced through Global Collect, to make products acquisition much easier to any user at anytime anyplace. WOBI project from HSM was finished and went live, using Drupal, which allows a non technical user to create content in a very easy way. Plus, Globant s expert developers built an equally user-friendly administrative backend to the website, making updates and maintenance hassle-free. With a few simple clicks, any non technical editor may post articles and keep it updated. Ultimate trends in terms of aesthetic principles were studied to determine the correct navigation style, graphic appealing and website structure that could be more attractive to executives, turning the site into an inviting and trendy place to go for management events, hot information and executives training, expressed Agustin Casiva, Technical Leader at Globant.
