2 The company Polo Tecnologico Servizi (PTS) was founded in February 2007 by the University of Pavia, the Municipality, the Province and the Chamber of Commerce of Pavia with the task of designing, creating and managing the park. Its mission is to help accelerate the growth of the local economy by: Promoting and supporting high tech start-up companies Attracting to the park established companies involved in scientific research and development Supporting technological and organizational innovation of companies located in the area (south of Milan), specialized in services or manufacturing Besides directly supplying business support services, PTS will provide companies with the support of a network of financial, scientific and consulting partners. 2

5 Collaboration agreements with research agencies are already present in the partnership, and represented in the scientific committee of the project ASTER on " Science &Technichal Park for life science. The project is a program of settlement, development and territorial attractiveness co-financed by Regione Lombardia. The partners of ASTER are, University of Pavia, CNR, Policlinico S. Matteo,, Maugeri Foundation, Mondino Foundation as well as institutional promoters such as the Province of Pavia, Pavia Chamber of Commerce and Fondazione Banca del Monte. 11 Consultancy and promotion: Support and assistance in finding partners. Support for the conclusion of agreements and access to finance. Networking with academic institutes, companies and startups already present in the incubators (ASTER) to facilitate the creation of partnerships. Support and assistance for access to ASTER labs and university labs based on specific needs. Support for the preparation of specific agreements with the various labs. Recruiting in collaboration with university office for graduates and post doc. Workshop and event on specific matter and business sector. 11

12 Possible use of shared offices or dedicated in a 150 sqm open space. 3/5 rooms available. 3 months Free and the next 9 months at a cost of 200 Euros per workstation/month. There will be discounts for the use of meeting space and training courses 12
