4 Integration Services Integration Services invoke third party functionalities from within Xenos ES process flows, seamlessly integrating business processes with other services, such as transformation, workflow or predictive analytics. Xenos ES comes with out-of-the-box integration components, making it a breeze to integrate common third-party capabilities. Additional integration components can be easily created using Xenos ES s extensible Java and Web Services APIs, from within Xenos Developer Studio or an external Java Integrated Development Environment (IDE). With Xenos ES, ECM Archive Integration can be easily achieved with a single interface to access content residing in external repositories, allowing external applications to communicate with disparate repositories without requiring individual connections. Repository Services Interface The Xenos ES Repository Services Interface provides a common way of accessing content in external repositories. Applications can access content stored in external repositories through integrated services to manage the underlying communication, including the abilities for: Searching repositories Querying index names and folder types Getting hit lists from repositories Retrieving content from repositories Loading content into repositories Retrieving and caching associated resources In addition to provided value-added services provided by the Repository Services Interface, Xenos Enterprise Server also provides Direct Access to Third Party Repository APIs. RUI connects multiple repositories for consolidated content access, enabling users to search, retrieve and view content stored across the organization. Repository User Interface Includes: Document View: Documents can be opened and viewed directly in RUI. With the View As feature, users can dynamically transform non-viewable document formats like AFP to viewable formats including PDF and TIFF. Search: Basic and Advanced Search capabilities enable users to search for documents across applications. Basic search allows users to search for documents by using document properties, while advanced search allows users to use advanced scripting to search across multiple applications. Localization: Xenos Repository User interface is localized in English, French and German. Additionally, Xenos Repository includes a Management Console GUI for administering the Xenos Repository. Administrators can set up applications, monitor repository instances, define access permissions, administer fine grain auditing, manage physical and logical storage, define content retention and configure distribution channels. Data Xenos Transformation Services for Data efficiently transforms and augments data with Straight-through Processing, and intelligently routes a variety of structured data formats over the Internet and between disparate systems. BIRT s powerful analytics provides endless ways of visualizing data through interactive reports and dashboards, enhancing the abilities to extract valuable information by performing data trending, charting and analytics from the interactive viewer. Xenos ES offers the ability to deliver Accessible PDF Documents. Xenos ES fully integrates with Xenos Axess to transform high volume documents into PDF documents that are accessible, using assistive technology, for visually-impaired users. Xenos Axess captures content from electronic documents, identifi es tables, sections, fi elds and images and inserts alternate text and appropriate tags to output as accessible PDF documents. With Xenos Axess, organizations can ensure that statement or transaction-oriented documents can be accessible to every customer, reducing the need for outsourced document accessibility services. Configure and Automate Business Processes Xenos ES is architected to use Process Flows to automate business processes and satisfy business requirements. Errors in Process Flows can be handled in the following ways: 1. Catching the error within a subset of your business logic and invoking a process flow to handle it 2. Catching the error within the whole of your business logic and invoking a process flow to handle it 3. Catching the error within the individual components to handle it With Xenos ES, Process Flows and associated components, confi gurations and resources can be stored in the Confi guration Manager. Confi guration Manager allows Process Flows to be deployed across multiple Xenos ES instances and Xenos ES clusters, enabling Process Flows to be easily deployable on development, testing, staging and production instances. Configuration Manager In addition to storing Process Flows for server and cluster deployment, the Xenos ES Configuration Manager also enables collaboration between team members on a project. The version control capability allows versioning of project resources with the ability to rollback to previous versions or labels. To migrate from a testing environment to a production environment, migration options are available to pull all resources of a specific version to another configuration repository. With the click of a button, an entire solution can be promoted from one environment be it development, testing or staging to any other environment. Job Scheduler: Allows process flows, components and events to be scheduled for desired run times. Businesses with nightly batch jobs can queue jobs during the day for execution during lights-out operations. Additionally, administrators can set up actions if a scheduled job has not run such as running a process flow or sending a notification. Logging System: Provides the option of either a single log for all messages or define granular logging for each process flow component.
