4 Focus on: Cameroon Gas Strategies has been working in Cameroon for over five years Gas Strategies has been providing advice and support to IOCs, independents and the state owned oil and gas company, SNH, as Cameroon develops its gas business. We have been working alongside SNH and its partners as it seeks to establish the Cameroon LNG export facility. Ghana Gas Strategies support has been a key enabler for VRA as it progresses its FSRU project in Ghana Kweku Awotwi Chief Executive Volta River Authority, Ghana Developing an FSRU project in Ghana Gas Strategies is currently working with the state power company of Ghana, the Volta River Authority (VRA), to develop an LNG FRSU import project; a project which is driven by Ghana s need for a secure source of gas supply and to reduce its current reliance on high-cost oil products for power generation. Gas Strategies is acting as VRA s commercial and project management advisor and is supporting its senior management team to shape and deliver the project. Considerations have included the use of an FSRU as a temporary or permanent solution; the commercial interaction between LNG imports and existing pipeline gas imports, indigenous gas production and hydro power; project structuring and financing; stakeholder alignment and facility siting.

This database linked demand points to key existing / proposed infrastructure systems, and assembled regional supply/demand balances Understanding future gas infrastucture requirements and developing an appropriate business model Nigeria: Other recent experience in gas and power NNPC Upstream and Domestic Gas NNPC Gas-to-Power IOCs LNG Projects Assessed prospects for gas supply in relation to projected gas demand for domestic markets, committed exports (WAGP and NLNG) and potential further export projects Commissioned by GMD of NNPC to launch and head a major initiative to align stakeholders in development of gas-to-power in Nigeria s domestic gas sector Supported development of plans to utilise gas swaps in meeting Domestic Supply Obligations Undertook a review of a the commercial operations procedures, developed revised procedures and captured these processes in a Commercial Manual for the project Devised and implemented a tender for companies to participate in Nigerian midstream gas infrastructure under the NGMP Facilitated NNPC workshops to establish internal alignment and high profile public stakeholder forum leading to shared commitments Analysed shared data on gas resources, production profiles and projected costs. Facilitated workshops to debate the conclusions Extensive work with Nigeria LNG (NLNG), NNPC, Shell, Total and Eni secondees on commercial operations Developed detailed understanding of the proposed operation of the Nigerian domestic gas industry as well as supporting NNPC to take its approach to potential investors Established teams and systems for monitoring the progress of the gas-topower initiative along the value chain and identifying obstacles to progress Provided support on the implementation of the NGMP Provided support on LNG pricing, marketing and contracting to LNG and pipeline export projects
