3 1,000,000+ PEMCO parts Capacitors (Passives) Film Film capacitors, commonly made of polystyrene, polypropylene, and polyester, are often found in applications requiring high stability, low-leakage current, high frequency, and/or wide temperature ranges. 4 Frequency Control (Passives) Crystals A wafer-thin piece of quartz that vibrates (oscillates) at a specific frequency when voltage is applied, crystal frequency control is used to regulate the timing or system speed (clock rate) of a circuit.
