Get-out-of-the-classroom education Believing that Christian business people should make a positive difference in the world, the Falls School of Business is driven by a philosophy of hands-on experiential learning. This "salt and light" philosophy brings faculty and students together as they discover ways business skills can serve the greater community, the church, and successful enterprises. At Anderson University, students are engaged in active learning that takes them outside the comfort of the classroom and confronts them with real need and opportunity. As a result of this educational partnership, infrastructure development, and job growth, Forbes magazine has ranked Anderson as one of the top 100 cities in the nation for small business, and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce has named Anderson its 2007 Community of the Year. Hands-on business development experience AU offers a complete system of business development opportunities to students while in college. Can any other school say this? Freshmen can come to AU with a business idea and get a Microincubator loan to start the business while in college. As they learn about business, they can be involved in entrepreneurship education programs through SIFE Education and be accepted to work with an emerging business in the area through SIFE Consulting. Then students can get an INvision AU internship. More than 150 organizations in central Indiana have access to AU students. This means internships and jobs. Throughout their time in the Falls School of Business, students have opportunities to work with clients of the Flagship Enterprise Center, the business incubator partnership between AU and the City of Anderson. Students may also work in Anderson Media Group, a student-run public relations firm serving many businesses in central Indiana.

4 A NATIONAL REPUTATION FOR QUALITY Quality also needs to be assessed by others outside the school. What is the reputation of the Falls School of Business? We will let others speak for us. Hundreds of employers in central Indiana have sent their employees to Anderson University to earn a Master of Business Administration degree. The program currently has approximately 275 working professionals studying at AU, creating opportunities for our undergraduate students for internships and Ranked #1 nationally by employment. There are more than 1,000 AU MBA deans and chairs of graduates in the region. Council of Christian The AU MBA program is the fifth largest MBA College and Universities program in the state of Indiana. Program satisfies the rigorous standards for accreditation by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) If you go to many of the other Council of Christian College and University schools, it is likely that there is a professor teaching there that is earning a doctorate from Anderson University. Anderson University is known as the teacher of the teachers with Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) graduates and students teaching at 56 institutions across the nation.

The Flagship Enterprise Center During their time in the Falls School of Business, students have opportunities to work with clients of the Flagship Enterprise Center. AU is the only CCCU institution in the country with its own professional business incubator. More than 30 highpotential firms are housed in the Flagship, and students have direct opportunities to work with them. AU Micro-Incubator Anderson Media Group A student-run public relations firm serving many businesses in central Indiana. Students in AMG publish a regional business magazine called The Falls Report that is distributed to more than 31,000 businesses and individuals twice a year. The business incubator partnership between AU and the City of Anderson provides students opportunities to work with businesses and new technologies. Current AU students can access funds to start their own businesses. In two years, 21 student-owned businesses have been formed thanks to the $175,000 grant from the Coleman Foundation. The Flagship Education Center SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) With a three-tier design SIFE Education, SIFE International, and SIFE Consulting AU SIFE has worked to change the Anderson community by teaching business concepts and assisting small businesses with the creation of logos, financial reports, Web sites, and databases. More than 100 students are directly involved in trying to create renewed economic vitality in Anderson, Ind. For its efforts, AU SIFE has consistently been one of the top teams in the country, including a top 12 finish out of 900 institutions. Students get direct access to internships and jobs with Fortune 500 companies. INvision AU The program provides avenues for AU students to gain valuable work experience and network with key decisionmakers within the industry. A state-of-the-art $7.2 million educational facility that is the home of the Residential MBA program. Students live in studio apartments and take classes in the Flagship while interacting with firms in the incubator. Purdue University also offers technology courses in the facility.
