2 P2000 Security Management System Fully scalable, intuitive and easy to use The Johnson Controls P2000 security management system is the ideal solution for medium-to large-scale security needs. As your security requirements grow, your P2000 system can easily grow with you by increasing the capacity for managed personnel, readers and work stations. Johnson Controls provides regular upgrades featuring new enhancements at minimal costs. The P2000 system can be seamlessly integrated into a Metasys building management system if that s what you require. Plus, with legacy and retrofit support from Johnson Controls, you ll maximize your existing hardware investment. The P2000 system provides an effective foundation for missioncritical security needs. Operators can perform functions easily the system can run on a number of operation systems (Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Server 2003, Vista, business, Vista Ultimate, and XP). An underlying Microsoft SQL 2000 or 2005 database engine offers high performance without high overhead. And with the enhanced graphical user interface (GUI), the system operator can access an interactive, real time facility map, featuring dynamic icons, to monitor and control major facility systems and functions.

3 P system overview Simplified system configuration The P2000 security management system is designed for easy operation. With just three windows, you can accomplish all critical system configuration and maintenance functions: System configuration window allows the operator to configure and manage badge readers, alarm monitoring and output control devices. Cardholder maintenance window facilitates setup and maintenance of badge-holders and related access parameters particular to the individual. Alarm monitoring window gives immediate access to the current alarm queue with graphic maps of the alarm site. Fast, easy installation The P2000 software installation process follows standard Microsoft installation methods. Plug-and-play software packages Johnson Controls offers the P2000 security management system as a complete package with the software preinstalled on a computer for plug-and-play operation or as software-only packages for use on extra platforms or international applications. DVR integration (AV option) The P2000 system provides seamless integration with approved Digital Video Recording (DVR) systems. The integrated P2000 and DVR user interface incorporates all the standard features of the P2000 system and also allows authorized P2000 users to manage recording and Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) functions of many cameras from a single P2000 workstation. The P2000 DVR integration is provided as a standard feature with the Johnson Controls DVN 5000 Version 2.9 and as a purchasable option with other approved systems.

4 Microsoft Server 2003 and XP support The P2000 supports the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows Vista Business, Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate, Microsoft Windows XP. Security threat level Security threat level control provides a rapid method of restricting access in case of an emergency. In the event of a security breach, an authorized operator will be able to quickly change access privileges for all cardholders at any terminal reader defined for security level control. Enhanced MIS interface The interface provides a means for the P2000 to receive cardholder information and queries from an external database source, such as a Human Resource database. Database partitioning The P2000 database can be divided into smaller sections, or partitions, that can be individually managed. These partitions define what data is available to an individual operator or a group of operators. Web access Web Access is an optional suite of applications that enables users to perform various tasks from any webready PC or compatible PDA device. In many cases, it can replace P2000 workstations that are used for the same tasks. Essentially, Web Access offers a simple, flexible alternative to working on a P2000 workstation. Web Access offers features such as employee, visitor and contractor management applications, badge activity tracking and synchronization, emergency access disable, alarm monitoring and more. The system is capable of edge-to-edge and two-sided printing, signature and finger capture, high- and lowcoercivity magnetic stripe encoding, immediate or batch printing, and smart card encoding (DESfire). Drug cabinets are secured and monitored through the access control badge system

5 Purchasable Options Intercom The P2000 system provides the capability to interface with intercom systems via an RS232 serial connection. The intercom interface allows an operator to establish an audio communication link between any two or more defined intercom stations that are controlled by the intercom system. Operators can monitor incoming requests and sort by time, priority, status and more. Enterprise Access Management The P2000 Enterprise option allows customers with multiple sites to communicate with each other and to share Cardholder/Badge information. Cardholders can be granted access to doors at all assigned sites within the Enterprise system. Change Tracking for CFR Part 11 compliance The P2000 software provides features designed to assist facilities that need to comply with Food and Drug Administration Title 21, Code of Federal Regulation Part 11 for electronic records and electronic signatures. Video Imaging for badge design and printing Video imaging provides a full-featured badge design and imaging solution. Custom badge layouts can easily be created through the software s graphical user interface. Supported Video Imaging software options include ID Server and EPI Builder. High Availability in Disaster Recovery Software Allows P2000 to run on multiple computers without reregistering. Prevents outages and data loss in Windows Server infrastructures. Separate integration interface options with the following digital video products: Pelco X-portal Panasonic Milestone Nextiva Smart Sight NICE Loronix 3rd-Party IP Reader/Controller Integration The P2000 software seamlessly integrates with the following IP-based, 3rd-party readers/controllers: PowerNet (powered by ISONAS) HID Edge OSI OMNILOCK These readers control a single, fully configured door and communicate directly with the host via TCP/IP. In addition, both the PowerNet and HID Edge controllers are Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant, enabling a single Ethernet cable to provide both power to the reader and communications with the P2000 host. SIA Interface to Bosch D6600 The Bosch Security Receiver/Controller is capable of receiving alarm and supervisory messages from the digital dialers over analog telephone lines. It can process up to eight individual telephone lines simultaneously. The Receiver/Controller is connected to the P2000 system via a standard RS232 serial interface. Zenitel Intercom Interface The P2000 system interfaces with Zenitel Intercom systems, allowing operators to establish audio communication links between any two or more defined intercom stations. The intercom user interface enables operators to control intercom calls using applications that display all incoming call requests from intercom stations. The operator can select a call request from the list and connect to any single intercom station or group of stations. Otis Compass Destination Elevator System Interface The P2000 system provides a high level interface with the Otis Compass Destination Elevator System using a TCP/IP network to send elevator commands to, and receive historical information from, the Otis system. The P2000 system provides the communication between the Otis Compass elevator system and CK721-A panels version 3.0 and higher. When a cardholder swipes a badge, a message from the CK721-A panel is routed to the Otis Compass elevator system to identify the authorized floors for the cardholder.
