Yes, this can be accomplished by either exporting user information into a CSV text file and then importing the data into the Crystal Matrix database or the standard TCP/IP interface can be leverage to allow you to programmatically update and maintain the access control system s personnel records from your internal systems, such as a HR system. Can I use my existing access cards to gain entry into the cabinets? The WALLAroo with ISONAS is equipped with a PowerNet reader-controller, which can support any card that is manufactured by HID or a card that is HID compatible. This includes both HID s proximity (125 khz frequency) and smart card technology (13.56 MHz, ISO type A and B). This selection of cards covers a large percentage of what facilities are using today. In addition, we support smart card technology from MIFARE and DesFire. If you are not using any of these card types, please send us some samples of your cards and we will test compatibility. Can the system interface with Microsoft Active Directory? The Crystal AD-Bridge add-on software transforms the facilities Active Directory system into a single source of permission management. Running as a Windows service, the AD-Bridge monitors Active Directory for adds, modifies and disables of personnel and automatically updates the Crystal Matrix database and pushes updated permissions to the cabinets. How much memory is on the reader-controller? Each PowerNet reader-controller can store 64,000 people, 32 different time schedules and 5,000 events. What happens when the network or access control server goes down? If there is a network or communication failure, the PowerNet holds the events. When network and/or computer communications are restored, the PowerNet will automatically push all event activity records stored on the reader-controller up to the server and any personnel updates will be pushed from the server down to the reader-controller.
