2 Special Education Teacher Openings for the Current School Year Position(s): Openings for elementary and secondary teachers for Special Education positions in the areas of: Learning Disabilities, Emotional/Behavioral Disturbance, Mental Retardation, Autism, Interrelated, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Moderate/Severe Disabilities, Adaptive Special Education, Functional Special Education, Hearing Impaired, Visually Impaired/Blind and Gifted. The positions are for teachers to teach special education students in all grades level configurations. Teaching positions are for the school year. Contracts are for a 9 - month contract with 191 days. Requirements: Applicants must have or be eligible for Kansas State certification/licensure, or would be interested in becoming certified/licensed to teach special education students in the State of Kansas on a waiver. Location: The Sedgwick County Area Educational Services Interlocal Cooperative #618 has our central office located in Goddard, Kansas, just eight minutes West of the airport in Wichita, Kansas. The Cooperative employs staff to work with special education students in nine districts on the North, West and Southwest sides of Wichita, Kansas. Over 300 certified and 575 paraeducator staff serve more than 2,900 students including gifted on IEP's. The position is for a 9 - month contract with 191 days, starting August 1, Description: The positions include working with students in grades EC Requirements: Applicants must have, or be eligible for, Kansas licensure as a Speech/Language Pathologist. Location: The Sedgwick County Area Educational Services Interlocal Cooperative #618 has our central office located in Goddard, Kansas, just eight minutes West of the airport in Wichita. The Cooperative provides special education services to students from nine districts on the North, West and Southwest sides of Wichita, Kansas. Over 300 certified/licensed and 575 paraeducator staff serve over 2,900 students on IEPs. Salary: The current salary for a full year contract for the school year for an MS Degree and 0 years experience is $39,930. An MS Degree in Speech/Language Pathology which requires hours above 36 hours will receive advancement on the Salary Schedule based upon the number of hours above 36 hours. 5 School Nurse Description: School Nurse position for the school year. The position is typically for a month contract with 191 days, starting upon hire to the last day of the current academic school year. This position is for approximately hours/week working with a young student. Schedule is daily, approximate schedule from 12:00PM - 4:00PM. Qualifications: Must be a licensed practical nurse; patience and ability to work with children; knowledge and ability to use office machines; regular or special or adaptive classroom equipment; word processing ability.
