1 Foothill College The National Hispanic University TRANSFER GUIDE This Transfer Guide is between FOOTHILL COLLEGE THE NATIONAL HISPANIC UNIVERSITY. It outlines FOOTHILL COLLEGE courses that are eligible f students to apply toward NHU s Bachel degrees. Admission as a Transfer Student from Foothill College The National Hispanic University Please note the following: The National Hispanic University accepts as transfer all courses which are accepted by Califnia State University the University of Califnia systems. IF YOU DON T SEE A COURSE LISTED, VISIT Minimum units needed to be considered a transfer student are 12 semester 18 quarter units. A STUDENT CAN ENROLL AT ANY TIME. Maximum units allowed to transfer at the undergraduate level are: 90 units. Minimum GPA is 2.0 cumulative but we will transfer individual courses with a C- grade. Minimum NHU Residency Requirement to graduate from NHU is 0 units, at least 50% of which must be Upper Division. Foothill College AA/AS AA-T/AS-T graduates are transferred to NHU with juni sting. (This does not apply to financial aid sting to those who change maj.) NHU also accepts completion of IGETC CSU GE certification as meeting NHU general education breadth requirements. A course accepted f credit transfer does not necessarily fulfill a program requirement. (Proper advisement from a student s academic advis/transfer counsel is recommended). All articulated courses from Foothill College to The National Hispanic University are transferred at the lower division level only. Transfer students adhere to all admissions procedures. A cidate will be considered a transfer student having completed a minimum of 12 transferable semester units, 18 transferable quarter units of college level coursewk, with a cumulative 2.0 GPA from all institutions attended. Cidates are reviewed on the merits of their pri academic achievements potential f achieving the goals objectives of the program to which they seek admission. Transferring students are asked to complete the NHU application available at from an NHU Enrollment Adviser at Unless otherwise indicated NHU courses are semester credits.
