1 ARTICULATION AGREEMENT In CRIMINAL JUSTICE Between EDINBO UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA And JAMESTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE Statement of Intent This articulation agreement is designed for students at Jamestown Community College who desire to transfer to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania into the B.A. in Criminal Justice degree program. Students who have completed all of the General Education and Criminal Justice major requirements as delineated in this agreement will have the opportunity to transfer up to 90 Jamestown Community College credits toward the requirements for the B.A. in Criminal Justice, requiring the completion of as few as 30 semester credits through Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.* Students must enroll at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania within two calendar years of their graduation from Jamestown Community College to take advantage of the provisions of this agreement. Students graduating prior to two years before their enrollment at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania will have their credits reviewed by the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania Criminal Justice department. *Number of credits and semesters required to complete at Edinboro depends on how many Edinboro requirements (i.e. General Education, major requirements, and electives) are met at JCC prior to transfer. For a course to transfer, a minimum grade of C must be earned. Please note the maximum number of credits in the major (designated as Criminal Justice Requirements in the agreement) that students can transfer is 21. A minimum of 30 credits of Edinboro requirements must be taken through Edinboro. Of the 30 credits, if students choose to take CRIM 395 at Edinboro only 6 credits of CRIM 395 can count toward the 30 credit minimum. Students are strongly advised to work closely with the Edinboro Criminal Justice Department while they are still at Jamestown Community College regarding course selection. The Edinboro course requirements for the major can be completed online and/or through distance education. General Guarantee of Admission and Standing Students who graduate from Jamestown Community College with the A.S. Criminal Justice degree or the A.A.S. Criminal Justice - Police degree are guaranteed acceptance into the B.A. Criminal Justice degree program at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania provided they have a minimum Jamestown Community College cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 for courses designated in the agreement as Criminal Justice Requirements. Students who transfer 60 or more credit hours to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania are guaranteed full junior standing. General Guarantee of Opportunity to Graduate Students who graduate from Jamestown Community College having earned a minimum grade of C for at least 60 credit hours from among the courses listed in this agreement are guaranteed the opportunity to earn the B.A. Criminal Justice degree with four semesters of normal coursework at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. 1

5 Addendum to ARTICULATION AGREEMENT In CRIMINAL JUSTICE Between EDINBO UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA And JAMESTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE Edinboro University intends to revise the course numbers for the courses below. It is likely that course numbers will be reduced to the 100/200 level. Course titles and content will remain the same.
