Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Department (6-months) A heterogeneous clinic serving a range of psychiatric disorders in a predominantly low-income, minority community. Conduct structured diagnostic interviews, attend weekly treatment team meetings, co-lead weekly DBT skills group and provide evidence-based psychotherapy to patients with a range of psychological disorders. Adult Psychiatric Inpatient Unit (4-months) A locked 22-bed unit for adult, geriatric and adolescent psychiatric patients. Serve as primary therapist for inpatients with a range of affective, psychotic, and neuropsychiatric disorders, conduct initial diagnostic interviews as well as brief psychological and neuropsychological tests. Conduct family therapy sessions and act as group leader for twice-weekly interpersonal group. Substance Abuse Treatment Team (1 day/week for 6 months) Assessment, consultation, individual therapy and group therapy with patients who are polysubstance abusers, many with comorbid conditions including PTSD and depression. Treatment approaches utilized include seeking safety, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and interpersonal therapy. Adolescent Depression and Suicide Program (4 hours/week for 6-months) A specialty outpatient program serving depressed and suicidal teens and their families. Provide intensive psychotherapy utilizing DBT, attend weekly DBT consultation meeting, phone coaching, and crisis intervention. Clinician/Independent Evaluator July 2010 June 2011 Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety, University of Pennsylvania Supervisor: Elyssa Kushner, Psy.D./Edna Foa, Ph.D. Conduct intake interviews and follow-up assessments for clinical research studies at an outpatient treatment center specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Receive intensive training in Prolonged Exposure for PTSD and Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD. Provide therapy adherence ratings for research studies.
