LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, students are expected to; 1. Develop a perspective on the political, legal, cultural, and economic dimensions of international migration Examine the theoretical approaches and the development of the migration phenomenon and the current problems Explain the bilateral or multilateral mechanisms of migration management. 2. Dicuss the role migration plays in foreign policy Explain the national security and economic development dimensions Define the basic problems. 3. Develop a perspective on the issue of migrants Discuss international mobility Explain the problems of the migrants, citizenship and integration Examine the studies and measures taken by international organizations and legal instruments Discuss the current debates and predictions related with increasing mobility and its global consequences.
