1 Call for Papers 25 th Annual AAPLAC Conference February 19-22, 2014 Universidad La Salle, Bogotá,Colombia Cross Cultural Tools in Constructing Un Mundo Mejor The 2014 Annual AAPLAC conference will be held at Universidad La Salle in Bogotá, Colombia. The 25th conference at Universidad La Salle is our opportunity to share knowledge, exchange ideas, explore new strategies and reflect upon role as international educators. In this instance, we will explore and reflect upon AAPLAC s role; outcomes our programs have on our students; look at the impact we have as individuals in different communities and the capacity for meaningful integration and what we are doing to implement these changes. Colombia is a country with so much to offer, yet at the same time the country has been out of bounds for the United States student mobility. It is time we become part of the change this amazing country has experienced and value the hard work placed into turning things around from the feared location into Colombia: El Riesgo es que te Quieras Quedar It is time we make Colombia a part of the geography of international education and bring it closer to our students. Our hosts will be Universidad La Salle Founded in 1965 as a private, not-for-profit comprehensive institution of higher education, it has four campuses throughout the country. AAPLAC s 25 th conference will take place at the Eastern Campus, Bogotá. Presentation Abstract: Please include a clear, concise word summary on what will be covered in your paper. This abstract will be used in the conference program. Presentation Content: Please list the content of your presentation in outline form. Presentations are generally 20 minutes in length as part of a larger session of 3 or 4 presentations with a linked theme. A 15 minute Q&A period follows each session.

For this reason presenters are encouraged to attend as much of the conference as possible. Please select the conference days you expect to attend should your presentation be selected.
