ABOUT COLLEGE: Kristu Jayanti College, founded in 1999, is run by the BODHI NIKETAN TRUST, formed by the members of St. Joseph s Province of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), an indigenous religious congregation in India. This congregation is the embodiment of the dream and vision of Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara who was a nineteenth century educationist and social reformer in India. The services of Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara have been acknowledged and lauded with gratitude by the Government of India and to honour him, the Government released a postal stamp with his portrait on it in The CMI congregation with a membership of 2,400, renders its services to humanity in educational, social, healthcare and other fields aiming at the prosperity and well- being of the society. Though Kristu Jayanti College is a minority institution, it strives to impart quality education without distinction of religion, caste or creed. 3 COMPUTER BASED ASSESEMENT (CBA) Kristu Jayanti College- Centre for Professional Studies takes pride in facilitating the students in testing their performance by Computer based Assessment(CBA), which offers three main benefits, you can be assessed at the center whenever you re ready, your results and feedback are available and if you need to, you can retake at a time that suits you. CA AS A CAREER With the rapid growth in economy, careers in finance and accounts have gained tremendous popularity and the most prestigious career option in the field is that of a Chartered Accountancy. Chartered Accountancy is a dynamic, challenging and rewarding profession. All the countries have their own Accountancy Associations which regulate the quality and quantity of the professionals in this field. Chartered Accountancy Course is a professional course in accounting introduced in our country in 1949.Steps for the dream career: How can you become a CA? Under the new scheme announced by the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI), the requirement for becoming a chartered accountant are as follows: I. Level One: Common Proficiency Test (CPT):- CPT is an objective type test requiring basic knowledge of the subjects covered. CPT is held twice a year, June and December. CPT can be given online also. Last date of Registration for the CPT: for June exam last date of registration with Institute is 31st March, of every year. Students attempting the CPT exam to be held in December, every year, should be registered with the Institute on or before 1st October, every year.. II. Level two:-ipcc (Integrated Professional Competence Course: After passing CPT candidates should register for IPCC. IPCC has 2 groups (Group I contains 4 papers and Group II contains 3 papers) every IPCC exams will be held during May and November. Candidates may appear in both the groups or any one group.after completing IPCC Group I or Two Groups they can register as articled assistant with a practicing charted accountant. During articoleshsip stipend also will be earned. III. Level three:-- Final Course contains 2 groups, each group contains 4 paper i.e total 8 papers. In every group candidates should get a minimum of 40 marks in each subject and 50% aggregate. CS- AS A CAREER. An Institute dedicated to develop professionals with specialized knowledge and training in the areas of corporate governance and corporate laws management to protect the interests of stakeholders and optimize resource utilisation for contributing to the public good.

4 DURATION OF THE COURSE Foundation Students can appear in the Programme Examination after 8 months excluding month of registration and examination registration is valid up to 3 years.
