Developed a handbook for healthcare providers on the epidemiology, screening, diagnosis, management and complications of chlamydia and gonorrhea. Monitored chlamydia and gonorrhea surveillance in eight states and maintained the largest chlamydia and gonorrhea prevalence monitoring dataset in the US. Doubled the number of annual chlamydia screenings to 1 million persons in the southeast. Directed the Tuberculosis Control Program with a staff of 25 employees including management of TB field operations, surveillance, outreach staff and clinic activities. Expanded outreach staff to promote direct observed therapy (DOT), education, treatment and prevention. Managed TB surveillance data, analyzed data and prepared reports for program planning and evaluation. Computerized the TB control program and established one of the largest computerized TB registries in the United States.
