Business Economics) The Aarhus School of Business (1972) Post Graduate Research Diploma, The Institute of Social Studies, Den Haag, The Netherlands (1974) Research areas: My research interests revolve around three interrelated themes: Theories of the organisation of space: regional and international industrial development theories Theories of the internationalisation of the enterprise and business networks Interorganisational theories and theories on business networks. Studies linking regional industrial development to trends of internationalisation of markets and business networks are undertaken through a series of studies. Different theoretical perspectives, ranging from input-output analyses to interorganisational studies and cluster analyses are employed. The second theme is analysed in a number of studies, ranging from studies of SMEs process of internationalisation, studies of the evolving internationalisation of subcontractors and supply systems as well as studies in a broader network perspective. In the third theme focus is on the interoganisational dynamics in supply systems and in regional industrial clusters. Studies include analyses of interorganisational kompetence building and collaborative rigidities. The role of entrepreneurship of the dynamics of industrial clusters belongs to one of the expanding themes in the years to come.
