3 LEARNING AIM This week I will explore the RH part of bars 1-4 and answer all of the questions below I will also make up a really hard question for my teacher to answer! Add the G (treble) clef, key signature, time signature and bar lines. Count yourself in and play at the piano. Can you play this from memory? YES/NO The Curious Piano Teachers

4 3. Circle the first TWO notes in bar 1, bar 2 and bar 3 4. Look carefully at what you have circled. What do you notice? 5. Work out the letter names Start on D Repeat that note Go up a step Go up a skip D5 6. Now write out those notes as blobs : note heads, no stems. (First add the G clef, the key signature of G major and the time signature that means 4 crotchet beats per bar ) 7. Look at the first line of Cowboy Song. 5 8. Add the rhythm to what you have written (previous page). 9. Add the finger numbers above each note (previous page). 10. Tap the Hip hip hooray rhythm THREE times. 11. At the piano, play the phrase you have written (previous page) which uses the Hip hip hooray rhythm that you have just practised! 12. What words do you sing for phrases 1-3 of Cowboy Song? 13. Sing phrases 1-3 and say Shh! at the end of each phrase to show the rests. When you ve done that, sign your name here _ The Curious Piano Teachers

8 LEARNING AIM This week I will learn to play the LH of bars 6-8 and bars from memory. I will be able to do this by following the steps below.
