3 Invitation We are pleased to invite you to attend the 3rd Low Countries Symposium Intoxications, a biannual event, that was organised for the first time in Similar to the former editions the emphasis will be on problem- oriented training in acute clinical toxicology. The programme mainly addresses physicians and hospital pharmacists involved in reception and treatment of patients with acute intoxications. From this perspective the emphasis will be on a practical approach, as well as on new developments in treatment strategies. Speakers are national and international experts, guaranteeing a valuable and educational meeting. The meeting will be held at Het Pand, which is the cultural and congress centre of the University of Ghent. Het Pand is a former Dominican monastery situated in the historical centre of the City.
