4 COMPANY PROFILE Officine LUIGI RESTA S.p.A. Since 1950 our Company has been fabricating equipment for the oil, fertilizer and petrochemical industries. Over the years we have continuously improved our fabrication techniques, we have expanded and modernised our facilities and have added the most up to date shop equipment. Typical equipment produced by O.L.R. are: o Urea Reactors; o Strippers; o Carbamate Condensers, Ammonia Converters; o Heat Exchangers with Internal Bore Welding, with Rod Baffles, Helix Baffles, with Breech Loch closure; as well as Heat Exchangers traditional "Tema" at medium and high pressure; o High Pressure Feed / Effluent Exchangers, o Hydrotreating / Hydrocracking Reactors - Platforming Reactors, o High Pressure Vessels - High Pressure Separators, o Columns and Pressure Vessels. Equipment size and weight (transport envelope) Thickness: 300 mm. max. - weight: 250 tons produced in one piece in our Bergamo facilities - diameter: 5 meters max. To overcome transport limitations and satisfy our clients growing needs we have under construction, at the harbour of Porto Marghera (Venice), a yard and workshop from which we will be able to deliver equipment weighting up to 500 tons and in diameter larger than 5 meters. 21 NUCLEAR ACTIVITIES Officine LUIGI RESTA S.p.A. Officine LUIGI RESTA S.p.A. decided to capitalize on its own experience in the construction of the most significant equipments for Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals and Energy and apply to operate also in the nuclear field (design and construction of nuclear components). In this regard, a specific Nuclear Department has been created, in order to carry out activities relevant to: o manufacturing of components for the new power plants (NPP) o replacement / substitution of existing equipments or parts of them (eg. heat exchangers, vessels, steam generators, internals) o construction of casks, tanks or drums for "decommissioning" (eg. casks for storage or transportation of irradiated elements / items) o realization of prototypes or components for experimental facilities (eg. innovative heat exchangers, new equipments for SMR). After completion of ASME conformity assessment program, Officine LUIGI RESTA S.p.A. is Holder of: o N Certificate of authorization, for the construction of class 1, 2, 3 and MC vessels, class CS core support structures and class 1, 2, 3 shop assembly (N stamp) o NPT Certificate of authorization for class 1, 2, 3, CS and MC fabrication (NPT stamp) o NS Certificate of authorization for the fabrication of class 1, 2, 3 and MC supports.
