The program includes a mobile unit which will meet a child and his or her caregiver at a safe location within 3-24 hours of the initial call. If hospitalization is necessary the clinician will facilitate, if not, the clinician will provide short term intensive therapy for 1-3 weeks. For children ages 4-7, M- F during normal school hours. For youth who have significant behavioral or psychiatric symptoms, at risk for exclusion from normal school due to behavioral or emotional issues, or who need a controlled transition back into the community from inpatient care. Additionally, a six-hour series is offered to women and their family and friends who are interested in learning more about choosing a low-risk life style.
