1 Brand Identity Guidelines
2 Brand Identity Overview The TradeStation Brand Identity Guidelines describe the visual elements that constitute TradeStation s corporate identity. This includes our logo and other graphic elements such as typography and color. Ensuring that our corporate communications graphic style is uniform, consistent and of high quality is critical to presenting a professional image of our company. These guidelines reflect TradeStation s commitment to design, quality and consistency. The TradeStation brand, including its graphic elements, is among the company s most valuable assets. Each of us is responsible for protecting the company s interests by preventing the unauthorized or incorrect use of the brand and its graphic elements. A complete set of approved brand elements for use in corporate communications is available from the TradeStation Marketing Department.
3 Signature Specifications The TradeStation signature comprises two elements, the mark and logotype. The logotype is set in the Rotis Serif Roman font and should not be altered in any manner. It is critical that the alignment of these elements is maintained for brand integrity. The cap height of the T in TradeStation establishes the proper relationship to the mark and logotype. The height of the T is divided into five units. The mark should be one unit from the left of the T. The mark extends one unit above the cap height and one unit below the baseline of the logotype. The bottom right edge of the arrow within the mark should rest on the baseline as well. A clear space of at least 2 must be maintained on all four sides of the signature. Keeping the signature free of other graphic elements or type will ensure legibility. In addition, avoid using the signature less than 1.25 wide. 5 Mark Signature 5 Logotype 2 Minimum Size 1.25
4 Signature Color Specifications The TradeStation signature should be reproduced in the two-color rendition whenever possible. A one-color blue can also be used. No other colors should be used for the signature. For specific color values (PANTONE, 4-color process, RGB and Hexadecimal), use the formulas to the right. If the two-color or one-color versions are not an option, the signature should be reproduced in black or as a full-reverse in white out of a color background. When the signature is placed on a photograph or illustration, the image behind the signature must provide adequate contrast and not hinder legibility. 5 Signature Incorrect Use It is critical that the TradeStation signature is never altered. Any manipulation of the signature can drastically affect brand integrity. The examples on the right illustrate various misuses of the signature and should be avoided. The TradeStation Marketing Department should be consulted on any use of the signature that falls outside the scope of these guidelines. 6 Typography Primary Typeface Family To provide a consistent, uniform look to the TradeStation brand s use of typography, Proxima Nova should be used as the primary typeface for all communications for TradeStation products and services. Proxima Nova typeface family provides a variety of weights to suit any design with clarity and distinction. A subset of Proxima Nova has been licensed from Fontspring for embedding in software applications. The application license is limited by application title, but one license covers unlimited platforms, sales and upgrades. Please contact the TradeStation U/UI Department for additional information. 8 Typography Secondary Typeface Family Minion Pro has been selected as the secondary typeface family. It should be used when larger paragraphs of text are required, such as flyers and brochures. Minion Pro provides great legibility and contrasts nicely with Proxima Nova. 9 Typography Supplemental Typeface Family The condensed version of Proxima Nova is to be used in situations where the primary Proxima Nova cannot be used because of space limitations, particularly when creating various charts, tables and diagrams. It provides the same clarity as the primary fonts.
