Community CHICAGO SOCCER CENTER will promote the benefits of sport and become a member of Positive Coaching Alliance, the national youth advocacy organization promoting winning on the field and in life. Beyond this, the facility will be the home of Chicago s most ethnically/culturally diverse and largest competitive travel soccer club, FC DRIVE- an Illinois not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization serving boys and girls ages 5-18 years. FC DRIVE ensures that children in need and economically disadvantaged families receive the highest available soccer experience year-round by offering corporately and privately funded scholarships to eligible players. 6 Executive Summary Richard Levy Richard Levy is the Managing Partner and Founder of Victory Park Capital, an alternative investment management firm established in June He oversees the investment and operational activities of the firm. Previously, at Magnetar Capital, he was a portfolio manager, co-head of the Solutions Group and head of the Small Cap Structured Products Group. He also was a member of the firm s investment committee. Mr. Levy also co-founded and served as Managing Partner at Crestview Capital Partners. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from The Ohio State University, a Juris Doctorate from the Chicago Kent Law School and an M.B.A. from the Illinois Institute of Technology s Stuart School of Business. He is currently an inactive member of the Illinois Bar. Jared Schenk Mr. Schenk is an operating partner of GEM Realty Capital, Inc., a Chicago-based opportunity fund, in its national student housing business. He oversees all aspects of the business including acquisitions and dispositions, construction, related financings, and management. Mr. Schenk has acquired or developed over 8,500 student-occupied units containing over 18,500 beds in university markets across the country. Prior to partnering with GEM Realty Capital, Inc. and since 1998, Mr. Schenk s company acquired student housing on behalf of private investors. From 1995 until he formed his company, Mr. Schenk practiced real estate law at the Chicago-based law firm of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw. Mr. Schenk received his Bachelor of Arts in English and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the Honors School at the University of Michigan in He received his Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan in John Wallis John Wallis has served as Hyatt s Global Head of Marketing and Brand Strategy since November Mr. Wallis career with Hyatt began in Prior to his current role, Mr. Wallis served as Senior Vice President, Product and Brand Development since August From 2004 through 2007, Mr. Wallis served as Senior Vice President, Global Asset Management, where he was responsible for the management of more than 40 Hyatt-owned properties across North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Frank Klopas Frank Klopas has been the head coach of MLS club Chicago Fire since Frank started his professional career with Chicago Sting in 1983 spending five seasons at the club and recording 62 goals in 140 matches. In between 1988 and 1996, he played in Greece for AEK Athens FC and then for Apollon Athens. In 1996, Klopas returned to the USA and joined Kansas City Wizards in an inaugural 1996 MLS season. In the 1998 season, he signed for Chicago Fire and won the MLS Cup trophy that year. Moreover, the forward featured for the United States national team since 1987 till amassing 39 international appearances. Gary Hazan Gary Hazan founded Players Sport & Social Group and has built it into one of the largest providers of adult recreational sports leagues, tournaments and social events in Chicago. Gary graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Sports and Recreation Management. Prior to founding Players, Gary worked for the Skokie Park District. Players was founded in 1992 with only 75 teams. Under Gary s leadership, Players has grown to nearly 3,000 teams with over 50,000 individuals participating. Chicago Soccer Center 6
