3 Itinerary September 26: Day 1 DEPART FROM U.S.A We leave this evening on an overnight flight from Newark or JFK to Warsaw. September 27: Day 2 WARSAW Welcome to Poland. We are met by our tour director and after boarding the bus continue to the convent where Saint Faustina lived to celebrate Mass. We check into our hotel and the rest of the afternoon is at leisure to become acclimated to a new time zone. Tonight we have a welcome dinner with a glass of wine at Dom Polski restaurant. Overnight in Warsaw.(Special dinner) September 28: Day 3 FOOTSTEPS OF ST. FAUSTINA GLOGOWIEC -SWINCE WARCKIE- PLOCK Today we visit Glogowiec to see the birthplace of Saint Faustina. We continue to Swince Warckie to see the Church of St. Casmir where St. Faustina was baptized. Then we visit Plock, where in1931 Jesus appeared to her bringing the wonderful message of Divine Mercy for the world and the image of Divine Mercy with the inscription Jesus, I trust in You. Overnight in Warsaw. (B.D.) September 29: Day 4 FOOTSTEPS OF ST. MAXIMILIAN KOLBE NIEPOKALANOW- WARSAW We depart early this morning to visit Niepokalanów, a Franciscan community founded by St. Maximillian Kolbe, also called the City of the Immaculata. We will visit the Basilica of the Virgin Mary, the Museum of St. Maximilian (called There was a Man) the Franciscan friary and old the chapel where we celebrate Mass. A sightseeing tour of Warsaw, Poland s capital, will include the Old Town, Market Place, Chopin Monument, Royal Castle, the residence of the Polish Kings (outside view only), the Royal Park Lazienki, and the Warsaw Jewish Ghetto, dedicated to the victims of Nazi regime. We also see the 14th century Cathedral of St. John and St. Stanislaw Kostka Church where Father Popieluszko is buried. Overnight in Warsaw with dinner at the hotel. (B.D.) September 30: Day 5- THE BLACK MADONNA OF CZESTOCHOWA Today our visit is to Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa, with the wondrous Black Madonna icon, the Queen and Protectress of Poland. We explore the Pauline Monastery with its priceless Treasury Room. We celebrate Mass, and have time for prayer and reflection. Dinner and overnight in Krakow. (B.D.) October 01 : Day 6 - KRAKOW Following breakfast we depart for sightseeing of ancient Krakow, for centuries the residence of the Polish Kings. We begin our visit with the Market Square, walk Kanonicza Street which houses a reconstructed Pope s Room and see the famous Pope s window, honoring Saint John Paul II. Continue to Wawel Hill passing by the Royal Castle and visit the Cathedral with the St. Stanislaus Shrine, which contains the relics, in a silver coffin, of Poland s famous patron saint. We also visit the Holy Cross Chapel, the Cathedral Chapel and the Sigismund Chapel. We finish our visit with St. Mary s Church where we can hear the silver trumpet call every hour and where we celebrate Mass. We have some leisure time where we can enjoy lunch on our own and then visit Kazimierz, the old Jewish quarter that was a center of Jewish life in Krakow for over 50 years. We drive by the Blonie Fields the place where St. John Paul II celebrated Mass for millions of pilgrims on his first visit to Poland as the new Pope. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city on your own and enjoy dinner in one of the many cafés in the Market Square. Overnight in Krakow (B. Dinner on your own) October 02: Day 7 AUSCHWITZ KALWARIA ZEBRZYDOWSKA This morning we visit the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, the biggest death factory in the history of humanity and the silent witness of human tragedy. Here we see the cell of Saint Maximillian Kolbe, where he was martyred, the museums and gas chamber, recalling the horrors of the Holocaust.

4 Following time for lunch on our own we continue to the Franciscan Monastery with 43 Chapels honoring the Way of the Cross, the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary & Seven Sorrows in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. We celebrate Mass at the Shrine in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska and return to Krakow for dinner and overnight at our hotel. (B.D.) October 03: Day 8- KRAKOW-ZAKOPANE Following breakfast we depart for Zakopane and celebrate Mass at our Lady of Fatima Church. The church is built of local lumber by the Highlanders in gratitude to Our Lady of Fatima for her protection of Pope John Paul II during the assassination attempt on his life in Continue to explore the beautiful town high in the Tatra Mountains where St. John Paul II often came to hike and pray in nature. Weather permitting, we will take the funicular to Mt. Kasprowy to get an extraordinary view of the Tatra Mountains. Lunch is enjoyed at Zohylina restaurant, and we have some free time to shop at Krupowki Street before driving back to Krakow. Dinner and overnight at our hotel. (B.L.D.) October 04 : Day 9 FOOTSTEPS OF ST. JOHN PAUL II WADOWICE Our day begins with Mass celebrated in the private chapel at the Archbishop s Palace in Krakow, where John Paul II was ordained and where he wrote the Theology of the Body. We visit the Archdiocesan Museum and then head to Wadowice, birthplace of the St. John Paul II. There will be free time to enjoy lunch and even taste St. John Paul II s favorite dessert in the same café where he enjoyed it daily. (cake and coffee on your own). We visit the museum dedicated to his work built on the site of his birth house. We return to Krakow for overnight and dinner at the hotel (B.D.) October 05 : Day 10- DIVINE MERCY - LAGIEWNIKI- ST JOHN PAUL II CENTER After breakfast, we visit the Shrine of Divine Mercy and celebrate Mass. We see Sr. Faustina s convent chapel and her tomb in Lagiewniki. We also see the newly constructed Basilica of Divine Mercy, dedicated by St. John Paul II on his last visit to Poland in Following lunch on our own we walk a short distance over to the new center Have no Fear, dedicated to Saint John Paul II, where we pray by his relics. We board our motorcoach and travel to Wieliczka, where we explore the Wieliczka Salt Mines, which have been in use for over 700 years and contain many fascinating statues, chapels, and reliefs, all carved from salt. We return to Krakow where we have a farewell dinner with a folklore show. Overnight in Krakow. (B. Special dinner) October 06 : Day 11 RETURN TO USA After breakfast we are transferred to airport for our flight home, filled with memories and inspiration from Saints Faustina, Maximillian Kolbe, and John Paul II. Airline, seating and special requests: The seats are assigned by the airlines. We do not reserve specific seats.
