1 Technical Specification for 5VDC/2A +12VDC/2A Adapter Contents 1. SCOPE This specification defines the performance characteristics of a grounder,single phase, 34 Watt,2 outputs power supply.this specification also defines worldwide safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements for the power supply which is intended for use move disk products. 2.INPUT REQUIREMENTS 2.1.1NPUT VOLTAGE Range Minimum Maximum Nominal Low 100 Vac 132 Vac Vac High 180 Vac 264 Vac Vac 2.2.FREQUENCY Range Minimum Maximum Nominal Single 47 Hz 63 Hz 50/60 Hz 2.3. VOLTAGE SELECTION A full range will be provided to select the appropriate range. 2.4.INPRU CURRENT 1.5 amps maximum at input voltage within the low range as specified in paragraph 2.1and at any combination of loading conditions. 1.0 amps maximum at input voltage within the high range as specified in paragraph2.1 and at any combination of loading conditions.

INRUSH CURRENT The adapter inrush current shall be less than the ratings of its crltical components(including bulk rectifiers,fuses,and surge limlting device)for all conditions of line voltage of Section The power supply efficiency shall not be less than 75%measure at the maximum load as specified in paragraph 3.1with the AC input set at the nominal voltage.

RIPPLE AND NOISE The ripple and noise of the outputs shall be measured at the load end of the output cables when terminated to a load impedance as specified in paragraph3.3 Output Ripple&noise(P-P) Use 20M Hz bandwidth frequency scope 12.0/5.0 Vdc 100 mv 3.3. Voltage Nom.(V dc) Capacitance Nom(µF) Material type 12.0/5.0 10/0.1 TAN\MON 3.4.HOLD UP TIME The power supply shall maintain voltage regulation within the specified limits in paragraph 3.1for at least20 milliseconds after lose of input voltage measure at 100Vac and at maximum output load. 4.NO LOAD OPERATION The power supply shall be able to operate under no lode condition,no damage to the power supply is allowed and internal component can not be stressed beyond its rating. 5.FREQUENCY OF OPERATION To keep andible noise to a minimum,power supply shall be switched at frequencies higher than 20KHz. 6.TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENT The temperature coefficient of all outputs are 1%per degree centigrade maximum. 7.PROTECTION 7.1SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION A short circuit place on DC output shall cause no damage to or shutting down the power supply, The power supply will recover automatically after removal of the short circult fault.power on reset is not required. 7.2.Load condition The power supply can operate mobil HDD from 80G to700g under voltage, v AC/input and it can

4 also work together with three HUB under voltage v AC/input. 8.TURN ON TIME The turn on time shall be less than 10 sec for all line and conditions.(measured from Ac on point to the 90%point of the output voltage) 9.SAFETY REQUIREMENTS The power supply must comply with the following national standards: 〇 United states&canadian standard:(file No:E257074) UL/CUL:EN60950 〇 CCC standard: (File No: ) EN DIELECTRIC STRANGTH Primary to secondary: Primary to secondary 1500Vdc for 1min,Cutoff current shall be less than 10MA,Test time 1 sec in production line. Secondary to case 1500Vdc for 1 min,cutoff current shall be less than 10MA. 5 10.ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY Power supply for use with the host systerm will be tested to conform with the following emission standards CE Mark / FCC Mark LVD : EN60950 EMC :EN55022/A1: LIGHTNING SURGE AND EFT/BURST The power supply shall meet 1.5KV(1.2/50uS) requirement at normal & common mode condition. The EFT/BURST specification shall meet IEC class ESD The power supply shall meet contact discharge 6KV and air discharge 10KV requirement,when power Supply is operating at maximum load conaition TEMPERATURE RISE The maximum temperature rise(delta t) measured at any point on the enclosure surface shall not exceed 60degrees c in closed carton chamber and no air flow. 11.VIBRATION AND SHOCK The power supply unit shall withstand forces of 0.5G at variable recurrent frequencies of 10 to 500Hz and a simulated transportation test.transportation test will consist of a 1/2G vibration force at the resonant frequencies of the board or components.the test will last for 15 min.the unit will be tested in a configuration representative of the intended application with shipping cartons,the unit must survive a 1G force for a duration of 10 ms in all 3 orthogonal plans from normal mounting point. 12.DROP The power supply unit shall successfully comply with the following drop test requirement: 6 random drops from a height of 100cm into concrete covered with 1/8 inch asphalt tile or similar NO.impairment of normal function,breaking away of any parts or change that would render power supply unit potentially harmful shall occur.
