2 Questions 1 17 Text 1 (questions 1 8) Assessment Paper 3 Writing Part 1 For questions 1-8, read the text below and look carefully at each line. Some of the lines are correct, and some have one word which should not be there. If the line is correct, put a tick ( ) next to the number on your answer sheet. If a line has a word which should not be there, write the word on your answer sheet. There are two examples at the beginning (0 and 00). 4 Part 2 Questions For questions 18 30, read the following extract from a holiday brochure and use the information in it to complete the numbered gaps in the informal letter written by a woman to her friends. Write the new words in the correct boxes on your answer sheet. The words you need do not occur in the holiday brochure. Use no more than two words for each gap. The exercise begins with an example (0). 5 The letter Please use the information from the holiday brochure extract to complete the letter. NB: The words you need to fill in do not occur in the brochure. Your university magazine needs an article on this topic and is offering a 20 book token for the best article.
