4 Overview The TS-431U is an affordable and reliable, SATA-based 4-bay rackmount NAS designed to assist small and home offices in essential everyday operations including file storage, backup, sharing, and more. Powered by a Freescale dual-core ARM Cortex -A91.2GHz with 1GB RAM, the TS-431U includes 2x Gigabit LAN ports, 4x USB 3.0 ports, and 1x USB 2.0 port. The TS-431U features numerous apps and features that can provide essential IT functionalities for small and home offices. Software The TS-431U is powered by the intuitive QTS operating system that makes day-to-day operations smooth and handy. Its intelligent desktop allows you to find desired functions quickly, create shortcuts, monitor important system information, multitask with multiple concurrent application windows, and much more. QTS is packed full of complete applications, including: Qsirch - Full-text search tool Qsirch, an exclusive and powerful full-text search tool that simplifies and quickens searching for files on a QNAP NAS. Surveillance Station: Comprehensive 24/7 surveillance solution Supporting over 3,000 IP cameras, Surveillance Station allows you to connect and manage multiple IP cameras remotely, including real-time monitoring, video recording, playback, and event notifications. The TS-431U comes with 2 free IP camera channels and can be flexibly expanded as needed to a maximum of 8. Backup solutions QNAP NetBak Replicator supports real-time and scheduled data backup on Windows including Outlook archiving with Apple Time Machine being supported for Mac OS X users.
