2 Who are we? We are one of the premier training and recruitment agencies in the Midlands, the North West, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire We have been working in training and recruitment since 1990 and have developed a deep understanding of the Welfare to Work industry and employers needs. Our Manchester office is based in the prestigious Royal Buildings in the heart of the city centre We work with hundreds of employers who place vacancies with us on a daily basis along with thousands of participants who are actively looking for work. We employ over 150 staff and have over 25 offices throughout England as well as many peripatetic sites. Our office locations
3 Partnerships Standguide has become a strong Partner of Choice for the North West, Yorkshire, The Midlands and Birmingham based upon our track record. Delivering bespoke training and mentoring to over 500,000 customers since we began. Delivering across a number of work programmes for a number of Primes. Employ over 150 staff who deliver on a broad range of contracts. Our experience has enabled us to work with all DWP and SFA customer groups, including those deemed hardest to help.
4 What other services do we offer? PET courses (Pre Employment Training) We can design training courses around your needs to develop specific skills in your future workforce. Dedicated account management We will build a relationship with you and your business and predict your recruitment needs. Work trials and placements We can arrange these and ensure potential staff are fully aware of the arrangements. We will also stay in touch with participants and yourselves to obtain regular feedback. Self employment specialists We have a team of experts who solely concentrate on participants who want to go self employed. Vacancy advertising We can design and place your vacancies within all our regional sites providing you with a wider range of talent to select from. Candidate replacement service If a participant does not work out for some reason we can readily introduce you to a close match alternative candidate.

We tailor specific vacancies to specific participants to ensure we have an ideal match between employer and employee. At Standguide our advisors really get to know our customers and help determine the best employment opportunities for them. We will help them create specific CVs tailored towards their chosen field and help them with application forms as well as review their English, Maths and ICT levels.
8 Steps to success Right from the start we get to know your business so that we can understand your needs and add value by developing the skills, talent and knowledge within it that allow you to compete. We shortlist the best candidates for you to put through your assessment and interview process; you are in control throughout the procedure and will have the final decision as to whom you appoint. We can deliver Pre Employment Training for up to two weeks to develop the SPECIFIC SKILLS you require from the candidates. We can design the training courses around your company s needs, further ensuring we find the right people for your business. If you want to put candidates on a work trial as part of this process we can arrange that too. You will be able to assess them in your workplace and make decisions based on your observations. We can arrange the delivery of apprenticeships for staff, enabling them to learn and develop skills whilst in work. They will gain National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) making them more effective employees and adding value to your business. We recognise every business is different and will work with you on an individual basis.
