Partnered with stewardship organizations and governments on plastics packaging recycling demonstrations. Met with Health Canada to support harmonization with FDA. Launched Operation Clean Sweep for the Canadian plastics industry.

17 Results: Recycling of Plastics Packaging Growing % increase in plastics recycled compared to 2009 Almost 100% increase in film 6% increase in non bottle rigids 14% increase in bottles collected
18 Post Consumer & Commercial Collection 2010 Study PE film Significant increase over 2009 Film and bag reclamation capacity = 50.6 million kilograms in Canada System capacity utilization rate = 37% System can receive a lot more film without additional capital expenditures
