1 Certificate installation The user has to have the certificate file including a private key (file with a *.p12 suffix) and a public key (in a sealed envelope). Users that are not ŠKODA AUTO employees launch the installation by doubleclicking on the *.p12 file. ŠKODA AUTO employees have to use Internet Explorer to perform the installation. CAUTION! Users wishing to use Firefox also have to install the certificate via Internet Explorer! 1 Installing the certificate in Internet Explorer 7 IE menu click on Tools Internet options Content tab Certificates section Certificates button The Certificates Administrator panel appears. In the Personal tab, click on the Import button and continue by clicking on Next. 1

2 The Import Guide will request you to set the route to the imported certificate by pressing the Browse button. When looking for the file, do not forget to select the correct file type. Once you have set the route, click on Next. The next step is entering the password that you have received with the certificate (probably in a pdf file). Click on Next. 2

3 As the next step in the Import Guide, you need to select a location for the certificate. "Automatically select..." is the default option and can safely be used. Choose Next. The Import Guide displays the last screen with information (certificate import confirmation and the Finish button). Once you have confirmed this selection, the Import Guide should inform you that the certificate has been installed successfully. Please confirm that and close all other open windows. The certificate installation is now completed. 1.1 Windows Vista IE with default setting in Windows Vista has problem with signing applications. Default IE setting for internet and intranet zones is running in security mode. The security mode has to be switch off to be able to load certificates from the windows certificate store. There are more possibilities how to do it. You can run IE like administrator or you can change security zone setting for internet or intranet according to where you come from. Recommended solution is to append web among trusted sites. Trusted sites have security mode switched off default. System security won t be changed. Clicks on Tools Internet Options Trusted sites Security Trusted sites 3

4 Window similar to image above will be displayed. Lower checkbox must not be checked. Click on button Servers in this Windows. 4

5 Window with possibility to add sites among trusted sites will be displayed. Add Portal B2B site. In case you are logged in or you are on log in page, added URL will be filled automatically. 2 Installing the certificate in FireFox Firefox menu click on Tools Internet options Content tab Certificates section Certificates button The Certificates Administrator panel appears. In the Personal tab, click on the Import button and select your saved Certificate. The next step is entering the password that you have received with the certificate (probably in a pdf file). Click on OK. Once you have confirmed this selection, the Import Guide should inform you that the certificate has been installed successfully. Please confirm that and close all other open windows. The certificate installation is now completed. CAUTION! Users wishing to use Firefox also have to install the certificate via Internet Explorer! 5

6 Firefox doesn t store automatically certificates to the Windows store. These certificates stored in this store are used for signing applications. Do not forget to back up the *.p12 file and the file with the password after the successful certificate installation. Reinstating the settings after reinstallation or change of your PC is not possible without the certificate backup and knowledge of the password. 6
