4 1. Electrical connection Thies model Weather station This for the connection via RS485 or analogue connection via 0-10V. Sensor orientation: The precipitation window has to point to the north. The weather station must be mounted on a vertical wall (or pole). The weather station must be mounted horizontally in transverse direction. 7 Connection to mygekko via RS485 The weather station is connected to an RS485 interface. Therefore, either a RIO29 module or an RS232/RS485 interface converter may be used. This interface converter can either be connected directly to the free interface on the mygekko Touch or to the interface distributor USB/quadruple RS232 (Art. Nr. ACC-RS201). Software activation on the mygekko Weather station Thies or Elsner models- connection via RS485 After the weather station is connected you can start with the configuration process Change to the system menu -> Weather station Under Weather Station save the port to which the weather station is connected (e.g. directly on the Touch: System: COM port 1) and select in the next menu item between THIES and ELSNER according to the weather station in use. Done! The start screen is displaying the weather data. Assignment of the ports Weather data appear on the start screen Wind-dependent control of shutters Light-switching depending on twilight 8

9 Thies model Connection via 0-10V After the weather station is connected you may start with the configuration process. Proper activation of the IO station is required. See the corresponding manual on Change to the system menu -> Weather station Enter the corresponding analogue input, on which the sensor has been connected, in the individual categories twilight, wind, etc. Furthermore, you need to enter the conversion, i.e. the values at 0V (min) and the values at 10V (max). Done! The weather data are displayed on the site map as well as on the start screen of the weather station.
