Critical points to be transferred to the ceiling using lasers should be marked on the floor. If the application requires, fix the ¼-20 threaded rods (G) that will feed into the fixtures, to the structural ceiling, and install the channels and furrings () for the drop down ceiling as per usual. Indicate the locations of the mounting plates () using lasers from the floor and fix them to the structure by screwing through the face of the mounting plates () and into each of the furrings (). Reinforce the ceilling structure as required by the application. I cross-brackets cross-brackets I Install the bridge (I) peices onthe back of the mounting plates () so that the openings are secure. The cross brackets that join the sides of the mounting plates () must be removed. Furings () and channels that interfere with the opening should be cut so that the opening for the luminaire is clear. J Remove the lens (J) and the ED cartriges () from the luminaire housings () and store them carefully in a clean area away from any objects that may damage them. x Ensure that the mounting brackets () are inside the luminaire housings () so that the sections can pass into the prepared ceiling opening. Press the mounting brackets () out of the Fixture () so that they rest on the back of the mounting plate () behind the drywall. Screw the #6-32 hex-head screws (). D NT CPETEY TIGTEN TE CREWS as some play is required for the next steps. 17 Secure the luminaire housing () to the ¼-20 threaded rods (G) with nuts (N). Q P R P 17 lternatively, if the application allows, the provided tabs (P) at each end of the luminaire housing () can be bent up in order to allow for cable tie-offs (Q) for additional safety.
