From there, take the underground (Line A) and change for Line C at the station Muzeum (direction Letnany ). Get off at the station Florenc. Rettigove street is Metro B station Narodni trida. The lift from the station brings you just opposite the Faculty building. M. D. Rettigove street is a short street (impasse) the tram station Lazarska (trams number 3, 9, 14, 24). To come to the building from Charles University Residence Petrska, take the tram number 3 or 24 at the station Bila Labut and get off at the station Lazarska (about 10 minutes by tram, 25 minutes on foot). To come to the building from Hotel 16, take the tram number 3, 24 or 14 at Karlovo namesti and get off at the next station Lazarska (about 5 minutes by tram, 15 minutes on foot). Free transport Free travel within the area of the Capital City of Prague (zones P, 0, B): children under 6 years; children under 10 years (obligation to prove the child s age with an identification card containing name, surname, date of birth and photography verified by a publisher); children from 10 to 15 years (obligation to prove the identity with application Jízdné zdarma uploaded in opencard); seniors from 65 to 70 years (obligation to prove the identity with application Jízdné zdarma uploaded in opencard); seniors above 70 years (obligation to prove the age with an identity card, any other card or application Senior 70+ uploaded in opencard (in PIT trains the eligibility for free transport may only be documented with opencard with uploaded application Senior 70+ ); holders of ZTP identification card (excluding PIT trains); holders of ZTP-P identification card including wheelchair, dedicated escort and guide dog if they are transported together with these holders (excluding PIT trains). The price to the Prague centre is approximately 550 CZK Minibus and shuttle transport: see 1 CZK stands for Czech crowns. The 2011 exchange rate is approximately 24,30 CZK = 1.

8 Visa You may need a visa to enter the Czech Republic. To determine whether you need a visa, we advise you to contact the Czech Embassy or diplomatic representative in your country. Health and travel insurance The organisers cannot be held responsible for any losses, damages or injuries. Travel insurance is important. In case of medical emergency the local casualty department is easily reached from the conference site. Drinking water It is safe to drink tap water. Bottled drinking water is very cheap. Weather The weather in the Czech Republic is impossible to predict. Prague is situated in the centre of the continent. We might be lucky and have sunny, warm days (24-32 degrees centigrade). But we can also have rain as well with temperatures hardly reaching 14 degrees centigrade. We advise the participants to be prepared for everything; to bring clothes for rainy as well as sunny and hot weather. Electrical Voltage The electric voltage in the Czech Republic is 240 volts ac at 50 Hz. We recommend you to bring electrical plug adapters and transformers. For details see e.g.
