1 Updated 1/26/10 Travel Policies and Suggested Hotels for Families and Friends Effective immediately, Interlinea srl (Auburn University/Joseph S. Bruno Auburn Abroad in Italy's partner) will charge a fee of 15% of the cost of services to assist with travel plans and make hotel, restaurants, plane, train, car, museums, guides and other reservations (or others services beyond the scope of the program) for family members and friends of students registered in the program. A minimum fee of 50 will be applied. Additional fees may apply if specific itineraries are planned. Note that fees will not apply to reserving (1) rooms at the Hotel Villa Aricia, (2) taxis to and/or from Rome, and/or (3) tickets for tours or events held at the Chigi Palace. Payments are accepted only in cash or Italian traveler s checks. For a list of hotels in Rome and other major tourist destinations in Italy that others have used in the past, please see the list below. Please note that these hotels are suggested. Neither Auburn University nor Interlinea srl can be held responsible if they do not meet your standards. We suggest you research them on the internet and make comparisons. Please feel free to us with your experiences so we can improve our list. For family and friends joining us on day field trips, the cost per day is 20 per person, plus any admission and/or meal costs. Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we are unable to accommodate family members and/or friends on some specific day trips and on any of our overnight field trips. Happy traveling!
