1 FORMULATIO GUIDE % itrogen % ulfur LIQUID FERTILIZER FORMULATIO RAW UTRIET MATERIAL COTET Ammonium ulfate --- Urea Ammonium itrate -- Urea Ammonium itrate -- Urea Ammonium itrate -- Ammonium Polyphosphate -- When ammonium sulfate and potassium chloride are used in clear liquid formulations, you must limit the potash analysis to % and the sulfur analysis to %. Potash reacts with ammonium sulfate to form ammonium chloride and potassium sulfate. Potassium sulfate has low solubility. If you need more potash in a particular grade that contains ammonium sulfate, it will be necessary to make a suspension. When making suspensions, always be certain that the ammonium sulfate is dissolved in the water before the potash is added. All grades in this guide have a salt out temperature of o F or less. If you prefer to pre-dissolve your ammonium sulfate, it is possible to make a base solution of --- as indicated below. Preparation of a One-Ton Batch of --- Base olution. Add pounds of dry (---) to pounds or gallons of water.. Add gallons of aqua ammonia (% ) for every ton of --- to take ph up to... When storing solution in mild steel or thin-wall aluminum tanks, add gallon of ammonium polyphosphate (-- or --) to every ton of --- as a corrosion inhibitor (not needed when using plastic or stainless steel tanks).

9 Adding --- To UA olution CLEAR LIQUID FORMULATIO Mixing --- with UA solution results in the addition of sulfur and nitrogen, making it necessary to subtract some UA to maintain your taget rate. The chart below calculates UA subtraction values in both pounds and gallons for %, % and % solutions. Amount of Base olution Required Equivalent Amounts of UA to be ubtracted from Original Formula Units Units Contained --- Gallons --- UA Gallons UA UA Gallons UA UA Gallons UA How to use the above chart: To mix a one ton batch of an -P-K-% sulfur grade, for example, read down left-hand column ( Units) to. Reading across to the third column, pounds of base solution (---) would be required per ton. Reading across the remaining columns, we find the amounts of UA or UA or UA (in pounds or gallons) to be subtracted from the original formulation (due to the " contained in the base solution). Amber color Clear liquids are usually less than % plant food. When using in clear liquid mixtures, % plant food is the practical top limit. Example:. When is used in a clear liquid grade, the potash plus sulfur should not be above %. Example: Clear liquid grades with potash will work best if the sulfur from is kept at % or less. is quite soluble in -- (ammonium polyphosphate). pounds of can be added to pounds of -- without any water. Formula:... Order of addition of to a clear liquid: usually best to add last. A suspension of sulfate and water can contain up to.%. olutions made with don't get as cold. When dissolved in water, solid ammonium nitrate, urea and potash produce a stronger cooling effect, known as the negative heat of solution, each about twice that of. Example: Potash Btu/lb Btu/lb The ph of --- made with usually is in the. -. range. This ph can be buffered: to. by addition of gallon of -- per ton of ---. to. by addition of gallon of aqua ammonia (%) for every tons of ---. A % solution of ammonium sulfate can be used in warm weather ( o F and above). This is a --- solution. LIQUID FERTILIZER FORMULATIO
