2 Introduction. FIRE LADDERS Ltd offers a full range of ladders and rescue equipment manufactured by our Austrian partner s JUST Lietern AG, who are one of Europe s oldest manufacturers of ladders and rescue equipment. In 2009 JUST Lietern will celebrate over 125 years of ladder manufacture supplying ladders and specialist equipment all around the world Our range of UK ladders are uniquely designed and constructed to fulfil the specific requirements and individual needs of the UK Fire and Rescue Services. Our other ranges include Rescue platforms, European ladders and Special build projects. A full range of approved fire fighting ladders is available, that combine light weight with strength, rigidity, ease of use and maintenance. Specification & Use: All our ladders are constructed to the highest standard of BS EN1147:2001, and should be inspected and tested to that standard. They have also been tested and examined using all other ladder standards both current and expired to ensure they both meet and surpass those standards. All our ladders are fully compatible with existing gantry, stowage and fixing systems in use within the UK. The operational use and individual specification s, are in accordance with the Drills and techniques as set out within the British Fire Service Manuals. Construction & Maintenance: Working with the latest design technology and high quality materials, we have been able to produce a range of ladders that are Stronger, Lighter, Easier to Use and Maintain. All key sections (stiles & rungs) are fixed and welded for added strength, allowing for ease of maintenance and repair. The welded sections allow for fast removal and replacement of parts, and repairs can be carried out by either Brigade personnel, or our mobile technicians at Brigade locations, or at our Yorkshire based workshop and premises. Almost all of the ancillary items and ladder parts are interchangeable throughout the full range, meaning fewer parts need to be kept on stock.
