4 Spa and Wellness Facilities Aman Spa, the largest and most comprehensive hotel spa in Tokyo, covers almost 2,500 square metres on levels 33 and 34, offering breathtaking views of Tokyo and the surrounding area. Spa Treatment Rooms Eight spacious treatment rooms each feature a dressing room, treatment area, steam shower and bathroom. Fitness Centre The spacious, light-filled Fitness Centre is equipped with the latest in cardiovascular and weight-training machinery from Technogym and Life Fitness. Pilates & Yoga Studio The Pilates studio is equipped with Allegro Reformers and other Pilates specific apparatus and the yoga studio features professional equipment. Private classes can be arranged. 6 Spa Journeys The practice of Misogi is the traditional act of purification and meditation using water to reconnect with one s core and is undertaken prior to any treatment. Aman Spa s signature journeys begin with this ritual so that the benefits of treatments are felt at a deeper level. A foot bath with seasonal Kampo herbs and mineral sea salt is followed by a breathing exercise with Kuromoji oil, renowned for its relaxing and calming properties.

7 Spa Journeys Aman Tokyo Signature Journey 150 minutes 56,000 This signature journey is based on the practice of purification and connection with one s inner self. Featuring camphor for its deeply calming and emotionally balancing scent, a full body scrub with fine camphor and Kuromoji powder and Japanese clay is used to stimulate the body s circulation system, boost the lymphatic system and remove toxins. The journey continues with a 90-minute body massage where Kuromoji and rice oil is applied. The combination of Shiatsu and western massage techniques will leave the body feeling deeply relaxed and rebalanced. The journey is complete with a selection of Kampo refreshments. 8 Aman Tokyo Seasonal Journeys 120 minutes 46,000 Achieve rebalance by connecting body, mind and spirit with nature and remain in harmony with the changing seasons. Choose from a 90-minute body massage with a 30-minute body scrub or wrap, or, a 60-minute massage combined with a 30-minute body scrub and wrap. Spring March May This is the season of renewal. It is symbolised by the blooming of Magnolia and the revered Cherry Blossom. As the flowers bloom, so do our body and spirit. Spring is the traditional season for practicing Misogi, which reflects renewal and purification. This journey provides the awareness and sense of appreciation for the beauty of awakening the system within. Seasonal herbs and refreshments used in this treatment include Japanese Nioikobushi (Magnolia), green tea and Sakura (Cherry Blossom). Autumn September November This is the harvest season in Japan. It is a time to pause and reflect on all that we have and look forward in the next harvest. This treatment is one of celebration and at the same time, offers a balance of emotions and prepares us for the next step in our journey. Seasonal herbs and refreshments used in this treatment include a foot bath of the seven autumn herbs, chrysanthemum, Sansho, Japanese Hinoki and chrysanthemum tea. Summer June August These are the hot months when nature is in its full splendor. Traditionally, the Japanese go to the forests to cool down and to be inspired by the sense of stillness that resides there. This journey is about slowing down, replenishing hydration and letting go of busy minds so that we can be refreshed both in body, mind and spirit. Seasonal herbs and refreshments used in this treatment include Japanese Hinoki leaves, Dokudami leaves, Hakka (Japanese mint) and summer green tea or Dokudami Kampo tea. Winter December February During the cold months, our bodies tend to slow down to conserve heat. At this time, we need to replenish the body with warmth and also to support the body in removing toxins and maintaining the circulatory system. A seasonal massage style with hot stones to soothe, warm and deeply relax is an option in this journey. Seasonal herbs and refreshments used in this treatment include pine, ginger, Yuzu oil, Sake kasu (in foot bath) and Kuzuyu tea.

Personalised in consultation with the Aman Spa team, the one-day programme incorporates the following: A choice of a 60-minute private instruction in either Pilates or Yoga A choice of a 90-minute Aman Massage or Acupressure Facial Use of wet areas and facilities (steam room, Japanese bath and swimming pool) Macrobiotic spa lunch Aman Pilates Pilates places focus on core stability, correcting muscular imbalances and improving overall strength and flexibility. In collaboration with Ivana Daniell, a clinical therapist and movement specialist with more than 25 years of experience, Aman has developed a comprehensive approach to Pilates with a highly personalised system of instruction. Participants are required to undergo an assessment which analyses postural alignment, strength and flexibility prior to each session. By identifying the body s strengths and weaknesses, a programme can be developed to suit an individual s needs and goals. The assessment takes approximately 30 minutes and is performed by an Aman Pilates instructor. Yoga Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual discipline originating in ancient India. Through the practice of Asana, Pranayama and meditation, the flow of vital energy, body flexibility and mind control are increased, changing patterns of awareness and bringing the entire being into a healthier and more balanced state. It helps to revive the dormant energy, rejuvenate the tissues and help in new cell formation, strengthening the various physiological processes making the body healthy and active. 10 Spa Treatments Aman Massage In this aromatherapy based oil massage, the therapist employs diverse techniques and intuition to deliver a personal and customised approach to therapeutic bodywork. A wide range of deep tissue, aromatherapy, Swedish and sports massages are available. Rebalance Massage `Shirabe` Uniquely created with a combination of Japanese Anma massage techniques and stretching movements, this treatment will improve blood and lymph circulation to energise each limb. This is followed by the Japanese holistic abdominal massage Ampuku, which balances each organ and brings energy back to the body s centre, resulting in deep relaxation, purification, detoxification and clearing of body and mind. Hot Stone Massage The combination of warm stones and massage penetrates deeply into the body to soothe and relax tender muscles. Hot basalt stones are placed, on and under the body to generate heat, drawing out tightness.
