2 WELCOME We are fortunate in the City of Boston to have a community that honors our deep ties to history and embraces the opportunity to come together to commemorate the significant milestones we ve achieved as a nation. Harborfest is a long standing Boston tradition that brings together thousands of residents and visitors alike, and I am looking forward to another successful celebration this year. Martin J. Walsh Mayor of Boston SIGNATURE FREE EVENTS (All Signature Events are free and open to the public.) 35th Annual Boston Harborfest Opening Ceremony Join dignitaries from the City of Boston for the kick off of the 35th Annual Boston Harborfest and the cutting of the Boston Harborfest cake! Friday, July 1: 11:30 AM SIGNATURE FREE EVENTS (Continued) (All Signature Events are free and open to the public.) Live Music and Movie Screening Live entertainment will begin in Christopher Columbus Park, leading up to a family-friendly movie screening of Yankee Doodle Dandy on the lawn. Long Wharf will host a variety of up-and-coming local musicians in an evening kickoff concert. Friday, July 1: 6:00 9:00 PM Sweet Harmony Conundrum Nine Ben Knight Danielle Prou Christian O Connor Arts at Harborfest Fine local artisans, curated by Artists Crossing, will be featured along the trellis at Columbus Park. Artists will sell their historical and maritime-themed artwork. Interactive art demonstrations and live performing arts will occur throughout the day. Saturday, July 2: 11:00 AM 6:00 PM Kevin Hamel North End Music and Performing Arts Center Columbus Park Concert and Fireworks Enjoy free family-friendly musical and dance performances at Columbus Park with a harborside view of the evening fireworks! Saturday, July 2: 6:00 9:00 PM blindspot Sonika Vaid Phunk Phenomenon Long Wharf Concert and Fireworks Live music on Long Wharf will lead up to an incredible fireworks display over Boston s Inner Harbor. Various sailors will decorate their boats and light up the Inner Harbor! Saturday, July 2: 6:00 10:00 PM Christian O Connor The House On Cliff United States Navy Welcome The City of Boston will welcome the USS Mesa Verde to the North Jetty in the Seaport. Visitors will enjoy several navy-inspired events throughout the weekend.
