1 ADMISSION PROCEDURE: L. S. Raheja College of Arts & Commerce (Aided & Unaided) has its own online admission process. However the schedule of admissions as instructed by the University of Mumbai will be followed. PROCEDURE FOLLOWED LAST YEAR I.E. F ADMISSIONS IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR The admission process for the year may undergo some changes. Changes, if any, will be available to the applicants on our college website. Applicants are informed to read the procedure given below to get an idea about the admission process. The admission procedure is basically divided into two components, viz. PRE-ADMISSION ONLINE REGISTRATION AT THE UNIVERSITY WEBSITE AND ONLINE ADMISSION APPLICATION FM AT THE COLLEGE WEBSITE PRE ADMISSION ONLINE REGISTRATION AT UNIVERSITY WEBSITE If you are using Windows Operating System 7 or lower version, please install Microsoft Silverlight on your computer. The software is also available for free download from the University websitehttp://mum.digitaluniversity.ac Please go through the prospectus of the college (available on the said website) to know about the courses and/or subject combination(s) offered by the college, rules, regulations etc. before you fill the PRE-ADMISSION ONLINE REGISTRATION FM. Separate formsare to filled by the applicant applying simultaneously for various courses in L. S. Raheja College of Arts & Commerce i.e. more than one course multiple courses. Applicants are requested to keep the following ready before they start filling the forms Photocopy of the mark-sheet of the SSC / X th Std and HSC / XII th Std. of its equivalent examinations Scanned copy of the Photograph of max. 80 x 107 pixels size and max. file size of 10 KB Scanned copy of the Signature of max. 80 x 35 pixels size and max. file size of 10 KB. Photocopy of any other certificate/s as required. Valid id and mobile phone number for receiving mails and SMS from the University of Mumbai regarding the status of the application form. Internet Connection with Internet Explorer ver.7.0 or higher. Now log on to the University of Mumbai website Click on the link Pre Admission Online Registration (available on the row below University of Mumbai on the home page). The first screen seeks confirmation from the applicant that he has all the necessary documents ready. On confirmation, the applicant moves to the second screen. Click on Proceed button. The next screen i.e. the third screen, is the registration page where the candidate is required to enter the applicants name as it appears in the mark sheet of HSC (or Its equivalent) examination, Gender, date of birth of the applicant and the Mobile Number and -id on which the candidate wishes to receive communications from the University. Click on Register after ensuring that the information provided is correct and true. The student will get a login id and four digit alpha-numeric codes on submission of the form. The student shall get a confirmation from M.K.C.L. on the mobile number and mail on the id provided by the student about the acceptance of the form. The applicant will be required to verify his/her registration and then change the password (Please do preserve the login Id & Password)

2 The applicant will log to the website and start filling the form by uploading his photograph and signature and enters the personal details, contact details and educational qualifications. The applicant is required to take a printout of the e-suvidha Kit and enters the confirmation code in the system and select and upload the documents he/her wishes to upload based on the requirement. The applicant selects the college/s and course/s offered by the college/s. Applicant can opt for more than one college and/or one or more than one courses offered by the colleges from amongst the colleges selected and after verification submits the form. Once the form is submitted the student will NOT be able to make any correction in the form. Print the e-suvidha ticket and note the Application Number generated and printed on the e-suvidha ticket. The Application number will be generated only after printing the e-suvidha ticket. Enter the application number generated on the e-suvidha ticket on your application form and complete the process. The student is then required to take the hardcopy of the uploaded Pre Admission Online Form and submit the copy of the form to college/s, which is has opted for. The student is required to submit TWO COPIES of the College Copy to the college concerned. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE APPLICATION FM WILL BE PRINTED SEPARATELY F EVERY COLLEGE AND F EVERY COURSE OPTED BY THE STUDENT F THE COLLEGE CONCERNED. University of Mumbai has instructed the colleges NOT TO GRANT admission to any student who has not registered on the university website. The online admission process at SESL. S. Raheja College of Arts & Commerceis,and a mandatory additional process to the Pre-admission Registration Process of University of Mumbai. Applicants can fill the on-line form from his/her residence or cyber cafe or any other location where computer, internet and printer facilities are available. Applicants are required to fill separate form for each category under which he/she wishes to apply i.e. if a candidate belonging to Gujarati Speaking Linguistic Minority wishes to apply under Gujarati as well as Open Category, he/she will have to submit two separate application forms one for Gujarati Speaking Linguistic Minority Category and other for Open Category. XII) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects :- 1. English 2. Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any classical Language or Information Technology. 3. Any four subjects carrying 100 marks each. Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination with vocational subject conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects:- 1. English 2. Any one vocational subject carrying 200 marks prescribed by the Board from time to time. 3. Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each. Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination with the Minimum Competency based vocational courses conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with the following subjects :- 2. Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or Classical Language or Information Technology 3. General Foundation Course. 4. Any one subject carrying 300 marks from among the Minimum Competency based vocational courses prescribed by the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination from time to time. 7 UG/80 of 2010, Dated 27th April, 2010 (B.Com.) Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)- O A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year degree course leading to the Bachelor of Commerce must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination with vocational subjects/minimum competency based vocational course conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Must have passed and examination of another University or Body recognized as equivalent to Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination. SELF FINANCE COURSES Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years duration after S.S.C. conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent examination by securing minimum 45% marks for general category (in one attempt) at the respective Examination and minimum 40% marks for the reserved category (in one attempt). While drawing the merit list, weightage has to be given to students from Arts, Commerce and Science Stream at 12th standard level. 8 UG/211 of 2007, Dated 18th May, 2007 UG/395 of 2004, Dated 7th September, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) O Bachelor of Commerce (Banking & Insurance O Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Market) O.5693 a) A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) degree course shall have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt (40% in case of reserved category). (b) Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the constituent/affiliated college/recognized institution, conducting the course, shall have to register himself/herself with the University. A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Banking and Insurance) degree course should have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in the case of reserved category candidates) at one and the same sitting. Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the affiliated colleges conducting the course shall have to register enroll himself/herself with the University A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Markets) degree course shall have passed XII std. examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of reserved category) at one and the same sitting. 9 UG/279 of 2007, Dated 16th June, Bachelor of Mass Media O 5206 A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course in Bachelor of Mass Media shall have passed XIIth Std. Examination of Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from the Science, Arts or Commerce Stream. The admissions are purely based on merit duly following the reservation policy as per the norms of Government of Maharashtra. While drawing the merit list, weightage has to be given to students from Arts, Commerce and Science Stream at 12th Standard level. The stream wise weightage to be given is as under : Stream Commerce Arts Science Percentage 50% 25% 25% The applications are accepted and processed by the college stream wise separately and the merit list is displayed stream wise taking into account the reservation policy prescribed by Government of Maharashtra. a. The merit list is prepared and displayed stream wise. b. In case if no application is received from any stream, the vacant seats are to be distributed equally between the two streams only. c. After the first merit list is displayed, if any seat allotted to one stream remains vacant, the same shall be distributed equally between the remaining two streams. In case of vacancy in one stream is of single/odd number of seats, the single seat is to be allotted to the Arts Stream. In case if no application is available from the two streams, then all the vacant seats of such two streams must be transferred to the third stream. Step (c) be repeated for the subsequent merit lists till all the forms are exhausted or the final merit list is displayed, whichever is earlier.

10 UG./283 of 2007, Dated 16th June, Bachelor of Science (Information Technology) B.Sc. (I.T.) O.5051 (A) Candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc.-IT), shall have passed XII standard examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subject and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate for open category and 40% marks in aggregate in case of reserved category candidates. (B) Candidate who have passed Diploma (Three years after S.S.C. (Xthstd) in Information technology/computer technology /Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering and Allied Branches/Mechanical and Allied Branches/ Civil and Allied branches /Mechanical and Allied Branches/Civil and Allied branches of are eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of the B.Sc.(I.T.) degree course. However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates. Candidate with post HSC-Diploma in Information technology/ Computer technology/computer Engineering/Computer Science/and Allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc.(I.T.). However However,the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates. Admission will be on merit, based on the order of preference as follows: Marks in Mathematics and Statistics at H.S.C. or equivalent examination. Aggregate Marks at HSC (Std. XII) or equivalent Aggregate marks at S.S.C. (Std. X)
