1 Admission Guidelines - Study in English, French or Romanian, in the 1 st year, academic year 1. The application file should contain the following documents: a. Application for recognition of studies for enrolment to undergraduate studies (click to open). The form needs to be filled out completely in two copies in original; b. Original Baccalaureate diploma or the equivalent of the Baccalaureate diploma AND two legalized copies, in original (translated if the document is in another language than English or French); c. The transcript of records for the IX-XII classes and the results for the baccalaureate degree two legalized copies, in original (translated if the original is in another language than English or French); Other necessary documents required for the following countries: Brazil Vestibular Chile - Prueba de selección universitaria China - Chinese National University Entrance Examination (Gao Kao) Cyprus national exams for high-school (Pankypriakes exetaseis - Ypiresia Exetaseis) minimum average 10 or Öğrenci Seçme Sınavı (national selection exam) Columbia - Examen del estado Ecuador - Cursos pre-universitarios Greece - Panelladikes exetaseis (national exams for high-school) minimum average 10 Iran - Peeshdaneshgahe (Pre-University diploma) Japan national admission test (senta shiken) Republica Moldova - Adeverinţa de autenticitate eliberată de Ministerul Educaţiei din Republica Moldova, în original, pentru diplome emise anterior anului 2008 Guinea - one-year foundation course Peru - Curso preparatorio Portugal - Provas de Ingreso Spain - "Pruebas de Aptitud para el Acceso a la Universidad, calificación Apto" Sweden certificate issued by Verket för högskoleservice related to the access at the university studies S.U.A. official results SAT or ACT issued through College Board or Department of Education Turkey - ÖSS - Öğrenci Seçme Sınavı (national selection exam) Venezuela - Prueba de Aptitud Academica 1 CLARIFICATION - The candidate that is admitted in the first year at UMF Iași, through this selection process, CAN NOT request registration in a superior year by recognition of the studies that he did previously, in another university. In order to have an equivalence for the previous studies, there is another procedure and the candidates interested in this should follow the steps described in the CRID Methodology Recognition and equivalence of undergraduate studies ( according to the Ministry of Education's Order 3223/8 February 2012)

Copy of passport, pages 1,2,3,4 or an official ID valid at least 6 months after the Letter of Acceptance is issued; f. Medical certificate containing: - proof of vaccination against hepatitis B; - mention of any monitoring for chronic diseases; - psychological assessment; g. Receipt for the file processing fee see section 2 h. Justifying documents demonstrating that the applicant meets the criteria for the selection of candidates (annex 1). i. Affidavit/ Statutory Declaration stating that the personal documents (high school diploma, transcript of records etc.) given in the registration file are authentic. j. Opis / Check list for the file Notes: - Documents in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation in Romanian; - Diplomas of applicants from Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus should bear the Hague Convention Apostil; - Diplomas issued in countries which are not part of the Hague Convention must be legalized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of Romania in that country or by the Ministry of Education, the Embassy of Romania in that country and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Romania. 2. The application file shall be submitted or sent by mail to the University at the following address: Universitatea de Medicină şi Farmacie Gr.T.Popa Iaşi, Strada Universităţii nr. 16, , Iaşi, România. ed application files are not accepted. The deadline of files registration at University is August 10 th, Applications will NOT be processed after this date. After the file is registered at the University s Registrar s Office the candidate cannot/ is not allowed to add extra papers in the file. The Evaluation Committee can ask additional papers, by posting the information on the university s website. 4. The candidates will send their files directly to the University, who evaluates and sends the files of the proposed candidates to the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research General Direction for International Relations. The General Direction for International Relations will issue the Letter of acceptance for studies and will send it to the University. 5. Candidates from non-eu countries must obtain the study visa from the Romanian Embassy in the country of origin, which is granted based on the Letter of Acceptance issued by the General Direction for International Relations of the Romanian Ministry of Education and Scientific Research. 6. The Romanian citizens may choose to study in English or French, on the same criteria set, including the tuition fees. 7. Candidates that have obtained Certificates/ Acceptance letter/ Certificates for recognition of studies issued by CNRED/ Ministry of Education and Scientific Research in the previous years may submit the application file containing this document to be enrolled for studies based on it. There is no need to send the file to the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research as well. Any new guidelines from the Romanian Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, as well as the number of places shall be communicated accordingly.

4 Selection criteria for the applicants to study in English/French/Romanian in the admission contest Name of the candidate: Faculty: Annex 1 Selection criterion Score Selfassessment International Baccalaureate (IB) or General Certificate of Education (GCE) passed with A or O 30 points Average score of Baccalaureate exams : - Promoted Baccalaureate - minimal condition (eliminatory) - Average in Baccalaureate between 50 and 59% (for countries where the average grade of promotion is 50% of the maximum grade) 3 points - between 60-69% 5 points - between 70-79% 10 points - between 80-89% 20 points - between % 30 points Baccalaureate exam in Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Math s 5 points / each Olympiads/school competitions: - 1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd place diplomas or other formal distinctions in Olympiads - 1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd prizes in school competitions, national level local level Graduation diplomas: - bachelor studies in medicine - bachelor studies in non-medical fields 20 points / diploma 10 points 5 points 30 points 5 points Internationally accepted language certificate or equivalent for the language of tuition (Romanian, English, French) 5 points Proof of extra-curricular activities with justified documents, up to 30 professional experience in health-related fields points Letter of Recommendation from the attended high-school 5 points (teachers, management) TOTAL NO.OF POINTS Evaluation of the admission committee Evaluator s signature
