1 M.Ed. in Educational Administration Teachers holding either elementary or secondary teaching certification who intend to serve and become certified as school principals in the state of Nebraska. Note: Nebraska Certification requires two years of successful teaching experience. Individuals with a qualifying undergraduate degree who wish to earn an advanced degree in the field of early childhood education. As you complete the Master of Education in Early Childhood Education, you will be equipped to teach and assess children from birth to age eight, while partnering with parents and agencies to meet the unique linguistic, social, and educational needs of children. The program provides practical application of developmentally appropriate instruction, methodology, and assessment. Emphases include a focus on advocacy and leadership in early childhood education. Upon completion of the program, students will have earned a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education. A Curriculum Specialist Endorsement is also available. The Curriculum and Instruction Master's program is an innovative, inquiry-based program with a focus on professional development. The goal of the Curriculum and Instruction Master s program is to improve students' performance, to accept greater responsibility in their roles as educational leaders, advocates, and life-long learners and to provide an opportunity for practicing teachers and other educational professionals to enhance their understanding and expertise in the following areas: (1) development of differentiated curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners; (2) analysis, interpretation and application of standardized assessment data within the curriculum; () instructional strategies; (4) best practice; and (5) educational research. 8 weeks. 9 M.Ed. - Special Education Curriculum & Instruction with Mild/Moderate Special Education Endorsement Certified teachers who wish to earn a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Special Education Curriculum and Instruction. An initial endorsement in mild/moderate special education is also available. As you complete the M.Ed. in Special Education Curriculum & Instruction and/or Mild/Moderate Special Education Endorsement, you will be equipped to teach and assess diverse learners. The program is designed for current teachers and access to a classroom with special needs students is required. Prerequisite: In addition to the courses listed below, students are required to have completed a credit course in the psychology of exceptionality and multiculturalism. Most currently certified teachers will have met this requirement as a part of their undergraduate preparation. If you have not taken this course, you will be required to complete this credit hour course before you can receive an endorsement in special education.
