To advise on future planning of Communication system like telephone services of the institute To setup Institutes Broadcasting FM Channel To plan the Video Conferencing facilities an to monitor its effective usage within and outside the institute To plan and advise on future expansion of the existing Video Conferencing facility To coordinate with activities with coordinator networking &Institute Automation. To fix the criteria on the usage of Telephone and internet usage by faculty, staff and students. To monitor maintenance of Communication and Video Conf. Systems. Online Campus security Shall report to the Head of Computer Centre.. To plan and advise efficient utilization of available space in the academic buildings. To advise on the new construction as maybe required To advise on maintenance and renovation of existing building, labs, rooms,lecture halls etc. To monitor the execution of works carried out in the institute and to certify the quality through a technical committee of these works. Any other assignment as given by teh director. *(Executive Engineer shall act as Member Secretary for campus development committee). Guest House To coordinate the upkeep of the guest house. To book the rooms in the guest house for institute guests and visitors. To maintain the records as required under administrative and financial laws. To suggest measures for improvement of facilities in the guest house. Any other issues related with the guest house. SC/ST/ OBC Development Institute Newsletter Inst. Magazine To ensure adherence to various orders and instructions pertaining to the reservation policy To ensure that other admissible benefits to SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories as per government policy. To compile the information for submission to statutory bodies. To monitor the problems of SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged students and counsel them. Plan and execute awareness and developmental programmes for the SC/ST students. To conduct annual inspection of the Roaster maintained. Scrutinize properly all proposals for de reservation and to clarify that these are inevitable and all steps prescribed have been taken in this regard. Report to administration any case of negligence if any. To liason with NGO's and other agencies involved in welfare of such categories. To suggest measures to enhance the quality of resources materials in the Library. To disseminate information on available resources and organize programmes on the use of educations technology development, education aids and other learning resource materials. Facilitates purchase of books, journals & magazines in consultant with HODs. To take measures for most effective utilization of the library resources. To devise procedures for writing off the obsolete books/learning Materials. To implement the decision of Project implementation committee. To ensure that the project objectives are met To Coordinate eith IITs, NITs and other institutions for joint extension activities. To coordinate with the universities within India and Outside india for delivering the programmes jointly. To monitor the progree of the network operation. To Plan the Community Related initiatives. To supervise the proper conduction of planned programmes. To monitor the progress of various projects of community and dissemination of technical know how. To plan and conduct Sports, Athletics related activities within the framework of Academic Calendar. To make the sports calendar for the complete academic year. To plan for developing testing facilities in the institute as deemed necessary. Security To advice on security matters of the institute and Campus. Interaction Continuing Education Centre Registration. Result and Convocation To facilitate to establish incubation centres in the institutions To initiate measures for joint collaborative research with industries. To take necessary measures for developing linkage with industries. To get live projects from industries for UG an PG these work. To development the Continuing Education Centre as an independent support system. To ensure that the Continuing Education Centre works as a self sustainable system.
