There are good reasons why you should choose Chiltern Moves for your next move. 1: Your home survey A free home survey is provided to ensure that your moving requirements are fully assessed at a time that is convenient to you. This will enable us to offer an accurate removal quotation and ensure that the correct number of removal staff and vehicle(s) are provided for your move. A quotation will then be sent to you, usually the same day.

Our protective covers makes the removal of furniture, mattresses and appliances far easier, compared to traditional protective covers. These help greatly when manoeuvring furniture up stairways and through tight doorways avoiding marks to walls.

4 4: PACKING & PACKAGING When it comes to moving home, packing all of your effects ready for removal is likely to be the most time consuming & stressful job involved. Chiltern Moves staff are professionally trained in modern packing techniques and use only the highest quality packing materials to ensure that all of your effects reach their destination safely and in one piece. Our packing service does not cost as much as you may think. Ask us for a quote for packing! services, we ll provide you with the correct number of packaging boxes and materials and offer advice on best packaging methods. FRAGILE PACK For those who would prefer to have their fragile items professionally packed, or perhaps don t have the necessary time to complete all of their packing, then this may well be the preferred option. SELF PACK We recognize that everyone has a budget and some people prefer to pack themselves, giving them the opportunity to clear out items which remained unpacked from their last move! As part of our survey we estimate the boxes and packaging materials required. Whether you choose to self pack or use our fragile or full packing FULL PACK Our courteous & efficient team would usually come to your home the day prior to removal and pack the majority of effects, leaving you the essentials for overnight (kitchen items, toiletries, beds etc). We label all boxes appropriately, with room name and a description of the contents. (i.e. Kitchen/Glassware, Bedroom 2/Bedding etc).

5 5: Loading to Vehicle There s a real skill in correctly loading the removal vehicle with your household contents. Much like a jigsaw, our team ensure all your contents are loaded in a planned order. Heavier pieces, such as wardrobes and sofas, are placed on the bottom layer and are properly secured with ties, with more fragile items packed on top. Smaller pieces and rugs to plug holes and fill gaps. Removal blankets and specific furniture protector covers are used for protecting furniture. Finally, we make sure everything is properly secured before driving off! 6: Coverage Chiltern Moves offers local and UK nationwide removals as well as International removals anywhere in the world. We operate weekly part load and dedicated vehicle services throughout Europe, as well as offering seafreight and airfreight services for your personal effects for the rest of the world.

6 7: Storage Sometimes it will be necessary to place some or all of your effects into storage before being able to move into your new home, or you may simply wish to free up some space in your current home. Whatever your requirement, Chiltern Moves has the several storage solutions for you. If you are only looking to store a small amount of effects, then we can bring 1 or 2 containers to you for you to load in your own time. We return, security seal each container and take the container(s) to our secure storage warehouse. Perfect for students or to keep your costs down! Containerised storage brought to you Your effects loaded into 250 cft containers on our removal vehicles by our team at your property, and security sealed. Once loaded your effects do not need to be unloaded at the warehouse. We will simply fork-lift the entire container from the lorry and into the warehouse. This minimises the handling of your effects, saves time and in turn, money! We also have single container trailers available which eliminates much of the expense of using a removal lorry. 8: INTERNATIONAL MOVES & RELOCATION Chiltern Moves have a depth of experience and dedicated knowledge of worldwide relocation gained over twenty years of moving customer s possessions overseas. We specialise in relocation to America, Canada, Australia, Europe & New Zealand, but we are equally capable of moving any object(s) anywhere in the world as a full and part load service.

7 If your policy does cover your removal, your insurance company may want to know who you are moving with and if the company is registered with the BAR (British Association of Removers), which we are. 10: Our Vehicles 9: Insurance We are confident that by using experienced staff and the best possible packing equipment for your removal, we can move your effects safely and securely to their new home. However, it is always advisable to have insurance in place just in case of the unexpected and there are 2 different options available: We can offer a comprehensive insurance policy specifically designed for the removal industry. If you currently have Homes & Contents Insurance and will be continuing the same policy in your new home, you may find that your policy will also cover your effects during the removal. It is best to speak with your insurance provider for further information. Chiltern Moves operates 10 modern well-equipped removal vehicles from 3.5T-18T. We pride ourselves on our vehicle presentation. Our vehicles are equipped and maintained to a high standard, with tail lifts to assist with piano movements, sleeper pods so our drivers can remain with your personal possession overnight, vehicle tracking and much more.
